Because he’s not Brady, Briles, Candle, Kent, Lashlee, Dorsey, Whipple, Litrell… or anyone on those levels.

Because we supposedly have $2 million or so to spend and can do better than Ponce for that amount or half of that amount.

Because Ponce isn’t a name that comes up on anyone’s hiring list right now.

And most importantly, because @Liberty City El and @JayCane20 know a **** ton more than me and they’ll both cry if he’s the selection.

Like I said, I don’t think it’s Ponce anyway.

All of this. His numbers are fine when you look at it so I don't really focus on that aspect with Ponce. For me, it's the system and his ability to implement it elsewhere.

He coached under Satterfield at App State and Louisville then came back to App State to be the OC. He is just running the same system under Shawn Clark who was also the Co-OC with Ponce during their time under Satterfield. This was a plug and play for him. He just had to come in and keep things going.

He's never gone in to a new program and installed a system on his own. He's a one system guy that has never been out of his comfort zone and I don't trust that he can build it from the ground up.

Therefore, he will almost certainly be our next OC
