Because we supposedly have $2 million or so to spend and can do better than Ponce for that amount or half of that amount.

Because Ponce isn’t a name that comes up on anyone’s hiring list right now.

And most importantly, because @Liberty City El and @JayCane20 know a **** ton more than me and they’ll both cry if he’s the selection.

Like I said, I don’t think it’s Ponce anyway.

Yup App State played a weaker schedule, but those metrics don’t take into consideration talent level. They played teams with similar talent and averaged 34 ppg, which was 2nd best in the Sun Belt and also 3.4 ppg better than Almighty Billy Napier.

Again, so I'm not misconstrued: Ponce is nowhere near the top of my list. We have the money to make a huge splash.

I just like that offense. They score a lot, win a lot, and coaches I trust told me it is extremely difficult to gameplan against.

He may not be near the top of Mario‘s list either, but once you start checking off names that either say no, or you can’t hire, eventually you get down to somebody that not everybody’s going to like.

Apparently, the first guy said no. So now it’s on to the next guy. There could be a few more ”no’s” before we get to a yes

I wouldn’t actually cry I would laugh hysterically...

I actually kinda wouldn’t mind if it was Ponce, not because I think he’s a good OC or that it would help us win games, but mainly because of the Chaos it would be watching people trying to spin their heads off all season long in a justification Tornado when we’re having dogfights with teams we should be blowing out.

It’s also the most Miami thing ever to finally be on the verge of turning over a new leaf & windup with Frank Ponce of all people as our OC lol, it’s quite literally poetic justice.
