I'm not going to speak for everyone else (and especially not the closeted anti-Cuban/South American dudes lurking around here), but count me as a Cuban from Miami living in Miami who doesn't see it with Coach Ponce.

I was on the team at Gables while Ponce was a offensive assistant coach and interacted with him almost every day back then and I simply cannot believe he is a P5 OC. Granted, that was like 25 years ago and people can certainly mature and grow, but the dude I remember I wouldn't want for the OC spot at UM.

I suggest a Code of Conduct for All Canes Fans @RVACane @IndayArtHauz @Liberty City Canes @JayCane20 @SouthParkCane @WeBallinBoyz @gogeta4 based on what I had to memorize as a United States Airman.

1. I am a Canes Fan, fighting in the forces which guard my university and our way of life. I am prepared to give my life in its defense.

I would rather have Briles and a bunch of other guys over Ponce. Just to be clear. We have the money for a name brand.

Just think people are going overboard the other way and calling Ponce a scrub because he is a Miami guy. He runs a good offense that is very hard to defend.
