Note on what I'm worried about. Honestly, not much but I do have a slight concern that Mario is filling the offensive staff with his guys and this may be a turn off for an OC that wants to hire his guys. Hard to really be worried about that since BMac, Mirabal, and K Smiff (potentially Field as well at TE) are top tier hires.

I'm mostly just impatient because I know Mario will hire a legit OC and the excitement from that will be infectious.

The truth is there is no need to worry on the offensive side of the ball b/c TVD is going to make **** near any OC look smart.

Nothing really as of now...

It’s been speculated that both UGA & Bama are allegedly angling to bring him in, but as of now he’s still with Miami.

If he gets a big pay raise increase & possibly an additional title he may leave, but he’s still out of the recruiting trail with Mario & the rest, so as of now it’s believed he’s staying with Miami.

We won’t know for sure until the other programs hire other DB coaches or TRob is officially announced as returning.

I am frustrated because I think Mario is putting too much pressure on himself and creating unnecessary obstacles right out of the gate.

I have no problems with 5-hour interviews. I have no problems with Dorsey being his favorite. But then the leak of Candle's name BEFORE getting a signed contract was a big issue for me. Rightly/wrongly, we all know that perception can become reality. Being "rejected" by what appears to be our "first choice" now shifts a lot of leverage to the next guys on the list. ****, Kendal Briles alone might have both screwed up AND parlayed his way into even more money from Miami.

Unforced errors are killers, whether it is an OL jumping the snap count, or Mario allowing the names "Candle" and "Briles" to get out into the atmosphere without binding and enforceable contracts.

I'm not sure if this is the right place to ask, but has there been an update on Trob? Auburn board seems to think that trob to bama is definitely happening. Wasn't sure if I missed a recent update.

I don't see why that's a bad thing.. Mario wants the right guys, and he's not willing to rush or settle, and if it ends up costing a few recruits, so be it. He's building something much bigger here, and I think a lot of you frankly fail to see that, and are thinking much smaller than him.

That we’ve deliberated for so long that people might be more comfortable staying put than jumping to another job at this juncture. For example, in Candle’s case, he’s finalized his staff for the upcoming year and is preparing for signing day #2, which is fast approaching.

He may have been more receptive to a move a couple of weeks ago. Just my opinion.
