Neither worried nor annoyed. I'd rather Mario gets it "done right" than gets it "done fast" and I'm not concerned that he won't.

Selfishly, I want him to make the hire sooner than later so that I can get on with more "important" things in my life vs constantly checking this thread lol.

That we’ve deliberated for so long that people might be more comfortable staying put than jumping to another job at this juncture. For example, in Candle’s case, he’s finalized his staff for the upcoming year and is preparing for signing day #2, which is fast approaching.

He may have been more receptive to a move a couple of weeks ago. Just my opinion.

I’m curios to see who it is, because Mario’s OC hires have never really been slam dunks, so I’m interested in seeing how hard he’s willing to go to hit a homerun.

Most of the names mentioned thus far would be a homerun, so that’s good...

Just gotta cross the finish line sometime before March.

You and I have discussed this multiple times, but at the end of the day if the 2 guys we KNOW he interviewed and/or offered the job to are Candle and Briles, there's a clear pattern there. And it's one that A) I love and B) deviates from Mario's M.O. in the past, which I was very worried he would not do.

I want Briles badly, and I would have loved Candle, but as long as it's someone worthy of $2M and of that ilk, I will be excited at the end of the day and we'll be moving in the right direction.

Good point. The types/names of candidates were hearing also has me optimistic.

Nothing really as of now...

It’s been speculated that both UGA & Bama are allegedly angling to bring him in, but as of now he’s still with Miami.

If he gets a big pay raise increase & possibly an additional title he may leave, but he’s still out of the recruiting trail with Mario & the rest, so as of now it’s believed he’s staying with Miami.

We won’t know for sure until the other programs hire other DB coaches or TRob is officially announced as returning.

I'm not sure if this is the right place to ask, but has there been an update on Trob? Auburn board seems to think that trob to bama is definitely happening. Wasn't sure if I missed a recent update.

Not worried about the hire. However, I do wish ppl would stop making it seem like what Mario is doing is some super higher level thinking//super top secret research method when it comes to the hiring

Great point. The fact that both are open at the same time intensifies the feeling of mismanagement.
