$2million dollar budget for a top tier OC & the best we can come up with is fckin Frank Ponce???

When you think of an offense that can take us from being 7-5, to being an ACC contender, is App St’s offense the first thing that comes to mind??

Aside from his relationship with Mario, why would anyone want Ponce as our OC when we literally have the best QB in the ACC? We’re trying to win the Coastal & have a shot at the ACCCG, not just be a serviceable 8-4 team.

It would be the equivalent of Nick Saban hiring Mike Bobo as his OC when Bama can literally afford any OC they want.

It’s settling, not exceeding. That’s an old Miami hire, not a new Miami hire...
(And I mean the new new Miami, not the old new Miami lol)
If you could only hang 23 on our D, you are not a solid OC. Hard NO!

FWIW - Packers QB Coach / Passing Game Coordinator is getting an NFL Head Coaching interview.

for those of you that think an NFL QB Coach and Passing Game coordinator without any experience calling plays is beneath a University offensive coordinator position.

Ken Dorsey has been interviewed in the past for NFL OC positions, and is being considered right now for NFL OC positions.

But not good enough for Miami of the ACC, I hear.

Q says JFK Jr. will be named OC and DC today. He faked his death at the height of the program with the knowledge he would return to save it when time was right.

Today is 12th of January.

JFK 3 letters
TvD 3 letters
Reminds me of those illuminati confirmed videos.

That man Mario asked for a substantial Assistant Coach budget and all he did was just give his boys a raise with it.🤣

Boy I hope it's not Ponce.

(and I actually like Ponce)

He is doing well, friend.

He told me he just completed a core ab workout while listening to some Queen. Now it’s time for him to unwind with a nice sponge bath. I think he’s meeting Kenneth for dinner later. There’s a new ***** spot they want to check out.

Thank you for asking. How are you doing on this fine January afternoon?

:)
I'm glad that NJ is doing well. Does he crossfire?

Well, this afternoon, it's actually nice in the state of Misery. I am going to go to my mother's house and mow her grass and clean up some things and hopefully enjoy some of her fine cooking and her famous peach cobbler. It's so good and creamy... you would love it.

college and NFL are very diff. Dorsey may just want to be a coach without the other things that take up your time as a college coach (recruiting, scouting, etc.). also, he has infinite time with his players in the NFL vs limited in college. Dorsey jumped almost immediately from college to the NFL before. if hes down to the other things that make college coaches successful, im fine with it.

Ending up with Ponce would be laughable and undo all the momentum going into this coaching change.
we end up with ponce and hurtt, then we need to buyout whatever Lashlee is getting paid and give him a blank check to be an OC again lol (obviously kidding).

The longer this plays out without an announcement, especially with the OC hire, the more likely it seems it will be somebody not named Brady, Briles or (perhaps) Dorsey. That leads me to believe it's somebody currently dealing with a nontraditional employment situation whereby both parties need to stay quiet for a few more days until certain impediments are removed. Leaking the discussions prematurely would negatively impact the hiring (more so than normal).

Two names that come to mind are Chip Kelly and his current situation at UCLA. The other is Tom Herman and his off-field role (analyst/special projects) with the Bears.

What is the likelihood that the new OC is one of these individuals?

Disclaimer: This post is based on ZERO inside information. It is shared purely for its entertainment value (if any) and with the hope of accelerating the Road to 600.

I don't see Chip Kelly and his ego every taking any job besides head coach anywhere ever again. Dude is probably worth 9 figures - I don't think he's going to drop down to college OC.

Are we still on the Ponce rumor? Incredible that the 247 guys have any clout around here, and they were purely speculating with that
