Yeah, while it was not a test of your copy-paste skills, at least you can admit that there were only 7 teams that met your "$7 to 8 million" criterion.

1. Clemson - Tony Elliott was a first-time OC, not in 2021, but Clemson was his first OC job
2. UGa - Lanning/Schumann were both first time DCs/Co-DCs
3. Bama
4. Texas
5. aTm
6. Ohio Taint - Coombs' first DC job is Ohio Taint
7. LSU - Peetz's first OC job is LSU, and Jones' first Division I DC job is LSU

So, you know, 4 of the 7 schools in your pay range had at least 1 first-time coordinator, and 1 had a first-time OC and DC.

Any questions?
Great stuff. Of the 7 schools presented, and their HCs, do you feel any of them compare to Mario and the CIS agreed upon concern that he must knock it out of the park with both his OC and DC?

First time coordinators could be different for:
- Dabo
- Fisher
- Saban
- Kelly
- Sark
- Smart
- Day
than they are for Mario, as they are all either considered the top coaches (by some), have an expertise on one side of the ball, or both.

Probably back to the drawing board. Dorsey gonna stay in buffalo as OC and the DC gonna stay at Georgia to be DC.

I think it’s pretty clear the coordinators weren’t hired a week or so ago like people say. No way you hold onto your hire announcements this long if you got them. Mario is probably still working through candidates as of this last weekend.

Not a member of CaneSport but a friend just texted me and said one of their "insiders" said its Briles and Schuman.

Just passing it along to help us get to 600 quickly...
Well .. your "friend" is a bit intellectually challenged .. I know Ferman gets a lot of negative comments on CIS .. but his list of candidates published when Mario was announced a month ago was the same as every other list "Brady, Briles, Dorsey" on the OC and the Hurtt, Schumann, and a couple of others on the DC side .. and he also said .. nobody knows anything as Mario has it on lockdown.

Yeah .. doesn't make sense. Maybe the key guys .. at that time .. had been interviewed .. but sure seems like it's still an ongoing process with no specific deadline other than the Elite Recruit Weekend. This thread will already be well over 1000 pages by then.

But I can quit whenever I want.

At this point I expect the coordinators to coach spring with headgear on and they'll be revealed before kickoff next year like the masked singer.

Possibly, I trust Mario until proven otherwise. But we got some good talent in the portal and a big few weeks of recruiting coming up. Kids want to know what defense/offense they are getting into. Hard to see yourself somewhere when you don’t know what you are walking into

The list of assistant salary pools was for 2021.

Tony Elliot was not a first time oc this year. Not to mention he was co-oc for 5 years at Clemson prior.

Dan Lanning was not a first time DC this year nor was he a co-dc.

Kerry coombs was not a first time DC this year.

The only example you provided was from a team who's entire staff was fired.

Here's the thing. You seem to honestly be unable to fathom why people apparently think you are a gaping ******. So let me help you out.

You shoot off your mouth. You issue a challenge. Information is provided to you, because you are apparently too infirm to google and assemble the information on your own. Then you **** and moan and flop around like a fish.

Look, if you think there is more up-to-date "assistant salary pools" than 2021, you are just being intentionally obtuse. And if you wanted to make the argument about 2022, for which no salary data is yet available and hires have not yet been made, then all the doctors in the world can't fix you.

As for "first time OCs and DCs", everyone is a first-timer sometime. Now you are whining about "not a first-timer this year". The fact remains, Clemson had a huge salary pool when Tony Elliott was first hired. Ohio Taint had a huge salary pool when Kerry Coombs was first hired. And UGa had a huge salary pool when Dan Lanning was first hired, and, yes, he was a Co-DC with Schumann.

Just cut the crap. You spoke without knowing the answer, and then when someone proved to you that "money" did not guarantee that teams hired "experience", you went into full-on denier mode.

In the future, if you want to yap like you know something when you don't, then either (a) do the research first, or (b) create a more precise set of qualifiers. Otherwise, don't be surprised when someone Google-ethers you.

this is a point i was keeping in the tuck but let’s get to it.

ed orgeron is the most comparable to mario. the only time orgeron had ever been a coordinator was his time at usc. he hired two first time coordinators last year and was basically fired in-season.
