Instant attention on the biggest stage. It would be foolish to do it any other way, really. So much to gain by getting recruits who watch the game to hear the big news. Well, more to gain than by doing it on a Friday afternoon when young men have better things to do. Let them hear ESPN talk about how this is a huge hire for Miami. Well, assuming it's a good hire. ***** it up on that day and it's a double whammy. "What the **** was Miami thinking hiring Patrick Nix a second time?"

Good question. Not sure about that. He may for the right job. So if he takes a coordinator or any on field coaching job can he no longer receive his buyout?

It has nothing to do with keeping some block hot. Don't listen to these morons. The timing is simply being respectful to the individuals in discussion and their current or former employers. Mario is big on respect. It's part of his build. Whether fans like it or not this football program will now be run with zero regard to fans feelings and only moved by right or wrong. How it should be.

Dorsey and Schumann are really the only thing that make sense with the timeline at this point. If it was Briles, it would be done by now. If it was Brady, it would be done by now.

If it's Dorsey, I'm on the fence with that hire. I think it will be great for TVD and Garcia, but will it be great for our offense? He'll have A LOT to prove there and won't get a long leash with this fan base.
 
I'm still of the opinion that part of the wait was due to DanRad coming on board and being involved in the processing/contracting of assistant coaches.
