Very loose use of the term blue chips with who he’s gotten signed.

Let me know the most impressive “blue chip” BC signing he’s gotten credit for…

Looking at his list his best year was 2017 which included a familiar RB that we all know the story of…

I hate the term blue chip honestly, but what's loose about it? It's a 4*-5*. Is it not? Please elaborate if you consider it something else.

Best kid he pulled at BC? Probably Clinton Burton Jr. The 4* top 200 overall CB that was committed to UF and he flipped him from them. His recruiting, on top of the fact that BC had one of the best secondaries in the COUNTRY this year statistically, would make this a grade A hire. Again, you are entitled to your opinion, but if a lack of 5* pulls to Maryland and Boston College makes you somewhat hesitant on him then lol, I guess.

It is eerily quiet on the Brady front these days .. makes me think that he might be the guy.
Except Dorsey has made it known he'd like to coach at UM (and I understand HC) but with the possibility of working with his former OC in college might make it enticing.

Also being an OC in college at a major program with added support from a knowledgeable and experienced mentor like Chud might not be a bad move for him to develop his skills and doesn't necessarily rule out going back to NFL at some point.

As what happened to Brady can teach one is being thrown in the fire in the NFL as a first time OC with little play calling experience can quickly backfire on you.

Again… y’all have a very loose definition of what a blue chip recruit is but hey whatever helps you rationalize this potential hire.

14 4-star commitments at Maryland in 3 seasons. You're turning this into some weird debate about your definition of 'blue-chip recruit' that you refuse to explain to anyone while you minimize a dude landing 14 4-star commitments at fugging Maryland in 3 seasons because he can't land your definition of blue-chip recruit at Boston College.

Last season he landed a 4-star, #179 overall national recruit Clinton Burnes at CB at Boston College. Dude had offers from Florida and Alabama. Good enough for you or nah?

I'm having trouble thinking of recent NFL offensive position coaches with zero experience in college coaching jumping down to be a college OC and having success.

The guy that sticks out as a comparable is Jake Peetz. Was Carolina's QB coach, had limited experience in college football, and was LSU's OC last year. It did not go well for him.

Can anyone think of guys with a similar resume to Dorsey's that's come down and been effective?
There's a pretty good defensive example this season but I wonder if there aren't many examples because it's not a good idea or because NFL position coaches usually are not interested in college coordinating jobs

Coach Azaar is a good dude and he’s a good coach.

This isn’t the first time he’s tried to be poached from BC. Before last season Locksley offered him the DC job at Maryland but Hafley bumped him, gave him a AHC title as well.

Idk if he leaves BC for a lateral move. Lot of coaches like working for Hafley.

And yes, he’s plugged into the DMV big time.

Schumann: DC/ILB
Salave'a: DL
Aristide: OLB
T-Rob: CB
Abdul-Rahim: S/ST

Dennis Smith and/or Bobby Williams will be analysts that help Abdul-Rahim with special teams.
Aristide was known as a big time recruiter while at TAMU but has he done a thing here recruiting wise over the last year? I know the LBs weren’t developed for **** and I don’t think the Strikers played that well either - so I feel we can replace him very easily.

Just checked his 247 recruit history and was very disappointed for a supposed “monster” on the trail… whoever UNC has Is a true monster on the DMV trail… this dude not so much.
Lol he was getting Bama involved with DMV kids before he was even an on field assistant. Looking at his recruit history is limiting if you actually don’t know anything about the guy.

I know when I think of the ultimate 5* destinations in CFB, BC and Maryland regularly top my lists…lol

Living in the area, and somewhat following the Panthers as my 2nd team behind the Dolphins, I'm not sure i would point a finger at Brady as failing. Its really tough because the offense was not good, but it is actually worse since he left. That offense has no QB, a terrible Oline, and McCaffrey has been hurt most of the last 2 years.

I hope we get him then I hope Bama stuffs them in a locker for the 4th straight time and crushes their dreams next Monday night.

Aristide gets a pass from me last year in a lot of ways

Ragone being one of our biggest playmakers at the position….

But same time I don’t disagree with you either

I think my main point is the NFL is a lot less forgiving. I think a college gig gives you a little more time to grow and develop. Not trying to knock Brady.

He's young, so he can be a developmental coach under Schumann.

He's known as a good recruiter and his dad is the principal at MNW, so he might be worth keeping around.

I wonder if Mario is looking at both Aazaar Abdul-Rahim and Chris Partridge for the same position. Both guys are from the same area (Northeast) and the info on both is coming from the same source (247). That would be my guess and would speculate Azaar is back-up to Partridge, if he ends up landing the Ole Miss DC position with DJ Durkin leaving for TAMU.
