Some people want some Mike leach from Texas tech air raid numbers…. Completely forget about the **** running game as if we don’t play In south Florida with the rain.

That, and South Florida produces elite RB’s and Miami always gets TE’s.

Mason makes a ton of sense the only problem is we have an over abundance of coaches who's specialty is DB already.. Mason/TRob/Chance/Heyward(olb 1 season)/DVD

Briles is legit but does he feature the TE?

IMO, you gotta ask yourself what elite pieces do we have, and then pick a scheme that features those pieces.

On offense, that’s Elijah Arroyo, Don Chaney, and TVD. On defense, it’s James Williams. Those four players should always be on the field IMO.

That’s why I don’t want an air raid. I want an offense that will feature our best players which right now is a pro style QB, a TE, and a big RB.

People don’t want to hear it, but Chud/Dorsey makes a lot of sense
If Chud and Dorsey were to be enticed to take jobs here, you would think it would be the opportunity to work together again as much as any other reason.

2. A slew of posters, however, either outright deny that fact (and the many stats that back it up) or claim it's for a number of different reasons (lack of WRs, etc.). Weird. Not really sure why.
Why? Because *they* don't want to hear any possible negative view of Cristobal. They cannot fathom that he might have flaws or has made and will make poor or incorrect decisions. He is their Messiah and messiahs are never wrong. [i say this as someone who strongly supported and supports the hire]

What they should do, instead, is to absorb the critical piece of data and accept that he might have erred and hopefully with the new OC your point would be moot.

Mason has never coached LB though.. Not that he can't but really there's 4 DB coaches on that staff. Chud can coach TEs off the field honestly and keep Field in the same role if that's what we are looking for.

I think if these Chud Rumors are true, that he wants to be a legit part of Mario staff. I would imagine he starts off at Analyst or TE Coach then he's the next OC in waiting going forward if Briles or whoever we hire gets a OC job

Haven’t you brought up Chuck Pagano before and been told no by his cousin who posts here? Did something change?

Honest question for the Mason fans. Why so excited? He wasn't an elite DC and had a very average year at auburn
1. His D has multiple looks (3-4, 4-2-5, 3-3-5)
2. Head Coaching Experience in the SEC.
3. He’s a good X and O guy, knowledgeable enough to make adjustments.
4. He’s an adult! He’s No nonsense! His defenses are disciplined and tough!
5. Most importantly, He’s used to doing more with less. The dude was coaching SEC football at a school, with a football history thats on par with Duke. Yeah, that Duke!
*** The ONLY negative that I can think of with regards to Mason, is that he never coached LBs, which means we’d have to hire someone to coach that position.

I was talking about a full time coaching job then. Now I'm just saying a analyst job to help out Mario as a advisor or something, just guessing regardless.

what I don't get, most oc pick their guy to run their offense rb coach ol coach etc. if the rumors are true miami has mirabal,Mcledon maybe maestro. seem a lil different. MC is an ex lineman most tend stick run control offense!!
Idk how many ex-olinemen are actually head coaches but the only other one I know off the top of my head is Pittman at Arkansas and his OC is Briles and they don't run a ball control offense. Oregon didn't run ball control with Herbert when Mario was HC and Joe Moorehead (a 2x head coach now and who many on this board would have been very happy to have if we got him instead of Lashlee) hasn't run a ball control offense anywhere else either.

It's almost as if they ran the ball a lot because Anthony Brown is a dual threat (who adds to the run total) who is streaky throwing the ball. Go back and look at BC numbers when he was at QB and then compare them to this year.

I get everyone being anxious to get confirmed names but the last 2 OC's hired by Mario are Head Coaches right now, he knows what he is doing

Next OC in waiting, nah bro lol
Idk man I think Mario really respects Chud. He was a legit candidate for the Oregon OC job. I think eventually he will want him as his OC, the best way of doing that would be to make him position coach and be the OC in waiting, now would chud do that? No clue lol
