People love to misquote Miami Flo. Someone in this thread is saying that Miami Flo said we have more than Moss and Coleman committing to us on 1/8.

He did not say that. He only stated that we were being considered by more players that will announce at that game. SMH
I don't know what people love to misquote but I said just what he said last night. He said we (could)be getting more than the 2 commits everyone is expecting on 1-8.He said it in a very teasing type way as if he knows we're in it for more guys than most people know.

Absolutely and unless he's an idiot (I don't think he is), he is going to want to exploit the QB advantage we will have just about every Saturday. I mean, this is why most teams run so much in college because you can't trust the QB not to make the back-breaking mistake so even with the QB advantage, you're still going to want to have at minimum a 50-50 split. What's weird is that some people think that means it's 3 yards and a cloud of dust offense.
Somewhere earlier in this thread, I also concede I know we need to run the ball. We need way better early down and distances going forward. I just want to see TVD throwing on early downs and pushing the ball as well. We have a QB who can make throws almost no other college QB can make. That really sucks for opposing defenses. I simply want that to be the focus of our attack. Pass to open the run, so to speak. When those two Safeties are kept back and are too scared to creep forward, go ahead and get those run yards. Are we ready to get run/conversion yards when the defense knows we'll run? Ehhh, Mirabal would have to pull off some kind of turnaround.

Appreciate your approach to the discourse. Nice to talk football - hidden in a coaching thread.

One of Nuñez family members posts on the Flo chat and gave everyone bad info

But Flo always said the only name he had heard from Miami was Rad, he was transparent about that, and that was because that was the buzz at the former player meeting in November…the one that was all hyped up and had Earl Little there and the dudes with the event app, whatever it’s called again
Flo shoots from the hip waaaaay too quickly...

For what it’s worth, IMO you’re the best of the best when it comes to info. You’ve never really been wrong, as I can remember. Flo is pretty good too, though. You’re gold and he’s silver.

I remember that podcast you’re referring to…lol he called you “crabby” acting like he didn’t know who you were. Weak **** but he backed down from that quickly so whatever.

He’s a good guy with some good info and he gives money to NIL deals for cane players so I try to support that

I appreciate that man but I’ve been wrong , we all are. It’s the nature of the beast.

With Flo I got a bunch of second and third hand info , people saying he was crapping on me. I asked a couple folks about it and nothing more. I don’t take this stuff that serious.

I understand there’s groups that defend their guy and trash the other side, but we’re all canes. Any info is good info and I appreciate any legit info out there.

He seems like an ok guy with legit info. Props to the guy.

People seem to forget that King's biggest problem was Wiggins and pope dropping big time passes. The whole narrative changes if those passes are caught. Likewise with TVD those mofos started to catch everything. They were making circus catches ala Brinson and Harley. Who knows what Oregon's receivers did to help out. There are more facets than just the QB to determine how the QB will do.
That's because King was under throwing the WR's and TVD doesn't as much.

Got my MBA from BC .. used to live in Chestnut Hill. BC coaching staff doesn't live in Chestnut Hill .. most people live within a 20 minute commute .. Western suburbs. PLUS .. the population of Chestnut Hill is only around 1200 people or so ...it is a section .. not a City / community. Coral Gables has a population of 55,000 and IS a city.
Good man, I grew up going to the Conte Forum to watch hockey.

You are correct that it’s essentially a neighborhood, technically part of Newton/Brookline. Newton being a city of almost 90k people (with a median home price 200k higher than coral gables), and Brookline being even more absurdly priced. Heading west, you’d struggle to find a starter home for under a million until you get past Natick. As you can probably tell, the price of housing/real estate in Boston triggered me (it’s my main gripe with living here)… so apologize for jumping on your comment.

Greg Olson current Raiders OC is the name being floated around ATM

Sean Desai is in discussions to be DC

Mario waiting for NFL season to end
Desai has the stench of Golden on him. Already skeptical.

Olson is right up Mario's alley. Maybe he learned some new tricks from McVay (most overrated HC in the NFL imo), but I'd expect a very Moorehead like offense with him at the helm.

Hilarious. Guys acting like an analyst has to have his own offensive philosophy and playbook to do the job.

Go back to last year. We hired Shoop as an analyst, and a bunch of people were pumped up because he was a former DC. Meanwhile, you talk to the players, and they said one of his primary functions was film work and prep.

Chud will help us scout opposing defenses and suggest plays that exploit weaknesses. He doesn't have to be "exciting".
He would be huge for us an analyst.

Have a lot of friends living in Natick / Cochicuate .. lived in the Back Bay for a couple of years .. worked on the Boston Stock Exchange until grad school .. was cool walking through the Boston Commons every day to work. My local pub was the Bull & Finch .. then it became Cheers and ruined the place! Good ol days!

I don’t take most of what people say outside of CIS about CIS personally. No one can flame us as badly as we flame ourselves, plus the posters here treat almost everyone outside of these 4 walls as if they personally tried to kill their entire family. Ivins, Ferman, Lake, etc, there’s almost nothing but vitriol for them coming from these pages.

I listened to Canesville once and the X guy took shots at the site, I couldn’t care less, truly. If that’s what he wants to do with his time great, he can keep hitting .150 and we will remain undefeated, but really it doesn’t matter. We all just want the Canes to win, CIS just happens to want it better than anyone else, and with more righteous motives. We’re all on the same team in the end, I would just pull their schollies as soon as I’m put in charge.

I think we should hire some coordinators.
