It wasnt a PR move, if it was, he would have been fired from the job on the spot. They dont pay him millions of dollars for that.I didn't say a scholarship athlete, I said any bloke that plays 'soccer' recreationally on campus.
Idgaf what he did as the HC, he won't be the HC here. I'm just saying it was a PR move and she wasn't the most qualified person for the job.
Uh, he was the QB coach for Luck for one season. At a time where Luck was already considered a generational QB talent. So, no.QBs that have improved with him
Developed Andrew Luck at Stanford
Justin Herbert gives him a lot of credit for his rookie success
Davis Mills has improved greatly as a QB

The scouting report on Justin Herbert when he entered the draft out of Oregon was he had the tools to succeed as an NFL quarterback but would need some time to become more refined with the intricacies of the position. Well, he got fired after one season. Pretty sure if he was that good, they would have kept him. But I explained this point to you more than once.
Davis Mills is a bottom-tier QB in the league. Both his QBR and EPA/Pass are bottom-tier. I am not sure this is an indicator of the fine job Hamilton is doing.
And to end this ridiculous suggestion, here is a list of teams where Hamilton didnt do crap:
The Jets.
The Bears.
The 49ers.
The Browns.
Being the passing game coordinator at Michigan.
You're welcome.
I wont do that because I have made my so clear, if you dont get it by now, you wont get it in a private conversation.Message me and we will continue this discussion, I don't want to keep flooding this thread with this debate.
I think after.Do we hear announcements before the CFP Final?
Is he worth 2m? He is making 1.5 at auburnLots of reasons but like I said in this thread “ I like smart football people”.
I also like coaches that’s coached multiple positions. Mason has coached Db’s, wr’s, rb’s and even special teams. On top of being Ahc and a DC. He’s literally touched every part of the game.
On top of that he’s a great dc. He brings a toughness to every defense he’s coached.
Even his Vandy teams were hard nosed and physical. I always came away impressed by those teams.
His defenses at Stanford were everything you’d expect. He fits exactly the mind set Mario wants and what this program needs. A no nonsense teacher. And yes , he can recruit.
I don’t care if he’s a two gap or a one gap coach, there’s more than one way to skin a cat , plus this guy actually has a resume of success, unlike Al and his boyfriend .
Lastly it’s always a positive to have former head coaches on staff. From position coaches to Coordinators or even analysts.
Yes.Is he worth 2m? He is making 1.5 at auburn
I disagreeYes.
Based on...?I disagree
I think he is waiting for coaches to finish up their jobs. McClendon is the hc for oregon in the bowl game and the other oregon guys he is bringing are still there for that. Then you had the coaches here still coaching in the bowl game but that’s canceled now.I think after.
I think he is a good dc but not 2m good. Paying that type money you have to be elite and I don’t see elite. And I don’t want to waste a guy like Taylor having him eat up blocks when that’s not his game.Based on...?
Auburn is a top 20 defense while they have no offense whatsoever. They have allowed more than 30 points twice and not against Bama or Ole Miss.I think he is a good dc but not 2m good. Auburn defense was ranked 57th. That’s not good enough for 2m. Clemson had no offense and venebales still had that defense at 9th. Then he would be coming here trying to run a defense that we don’t have the bodies up front for. I just don’t see 2m for him.Auburn is a top 20 defense while they have no offense whatsoever. I am not sure how much more elite you want it, honest to god...
John Routh… or one of his successors?
Cool.
