I forgot about this - you could find any bloke playing 'soccer' recreationally on campus who could strike a ball further than that.

Right, but it would be a low kick with poor hang time to the 20 or so, which means it would be a good set up for a big return. If you can't kick it to the 5 or preferably into the end zone, the squib is an effective strategy.

Which is why there is a f'ing squib kick in CFB btw. Welcome.

They didn't have anyone. She came in, she did her job, Good for her.

I honestly don't care that she's a girl, but she's absolutely horrible and the whole thing was a publicity stunt. They actually had a backup kicker who left the team because he was so ****ed as he was with the team all year and he could kick it more than 30 yards. Plus this girl is completely clueless and frankly, sounds pretty dumb. She tried giving a halftime speech in the one or two games she played because she was "****ed" at the rest of the team lmao.

If a male player did that, tried to rally their team, provide a spark, you wouldn't be so caught up in your feelings, would you?

Did you not read what I said? I WOULD be ****ed if some person (man or woman) who's never played the sport tried to "call out" the entire team their first game ever, especially if they suck at said sport.

Uh.. this is done every day by most players and coaches - who are men.
They just don't have articles and spotlights on them for their ***...

Clearly a publicity stunt, but hey the kid got some notoriety. Good for her.

Yes I read what you said and probably understood it better than you did. She made the team when they were in a jam, and did her job effectively. Executed her kick off as planned and made both her kicks. Period.

BTW, while you are sitting there getting caught up in your feelings about a women (how dare she!) playing ball (and again, playing WELL, unlike a Tebow getting a fake NFL audition at TE), you're overlooking the fact that she was RIGHT. The team was listless and had no energy. So you might have been "****ed off" that you were being called out if you had an ounce of athletic talent and played D1 ball with her, but you'd be overlooking that you were the actual problem, and you'd be looking to blame anyone and everyone but your own listless low-energy ***. So yeah, go after the girl. Good idea.

Maybe if you were in her shoes you would sit there and analyze what message board posters would think of you a few years later and sit on your hands, but as an athlete, on a team, she did everything she could do to WIN right then right there without worrying about what people like you thought. I'll bet she still doesn't.

PS- I'll bet ironically that Rudy is your favorite movie.

Lmao, i don't think I'm the one getting "caught up in their feels". Also, the bolded part is as far as i read. Hope you feel better after airing your feelings though.

Imagine defending someone joining a team in the middle of the season playing the second least important position behind punter, and giving an unprovoked halftime speech to tell everybody what was wrong with their culture by saying that cheering is how you win games.

The amount of cringe is off the charts which is why no male would ever even try and the only reason why she would even bother is nothing more than pure, unadulterated entitlement.

I hope I don't have to explain that leadership has multiple prerequisites, none of which were achieved by her before the speech.

I'm all for women playing sports, but be capable at them first and foremost, and then don't show up acting like you're above anybody else on the team. Weird, I know.

So, bowl game canceled, does this move up announcements or we still waiting until next year??
You’d think it would for retention of T Rob at least. And maybe Oregon guys coming to join us. Maybe wanted to wait for guys like Simpson and Likens to be officially done.

I "hate" Ken Dorsey now? Not only that ...mans asked me for an opinion on a potential coach and I shared my thoughts and now I'm a "fanboy". Bet.

I love CIS.
Ken would do great here and be a great hire. Not just because hes an alumni but because hes one of the smartest qb coaches and upcoming offesnive minds in the game. I know your opinion is not to take a "risk" on dorsey but the fact is he would be an upgrade and better then majority of the oc's in college right now and thats without even calling plays. I hear your opinion but you sound like a pretentious know it all who thinks they know the answer but you dont.
