I’m taking @Brooklyndee’s advice and chilling.

I would just say that @htownkidd’s argument is the best one. We want to be a playoff team ASAP, and the best chance at doing that is to take proven coordinators.

Dorsey may go on to become the greatest OC mind ever. But the risk of him failing or more likely taking a few seasons to figure it out is high, certainly higher than a proven OC. It’s all about winning NOW for me.

Here is my only real argument against Ken Dorsey as a Miami OC...if you look at the list of college football's best (say...Top 25) offensive coordinators, how many are former NFL QB Coaches that dropped down into college football?

My hypothesis would be zero, but its late and I'm not looking it up.

Got family who works in the Auburn athletic department.

I think "mess" is a bit of an exaggeration...but its a bit of a "cultish" place that is very insular...like many P5 universities in these outback college towns...the right coach needs to have fit and finish and word I've got - similar to what Cribby posted - is that its just not a fit.

I thought if Auburn won that Alabama game, Harsin would have been gone (stock would have been up a bit)...I'm not sure how active he really was, but he was definitely angling for that Washington job the minute Jimmy Lake got tossed. idk about any others, tbf.
