You think the reason TRob and BMac are gone is because the SEC is clean? You think erasing 20 years of failure is going to happen overnight? Gutting the entire athletic department just needed a weekend? No, then what was your timeframe? Tweet it at Mario, I’m sure it’ll help him to be reminded that he has some vacancies.

Y’all dream of the program leveling up and the moment it faces setbacks — no, no — the moment things are looking good for once in two decades, you immediately look for reasons it declare it all a house of cards. UGA, Bama, whomever, will fight tooth and nail to keep us dead and in the cellar and a lot of you seem waaaaaay more eager to help them than to endure a stupidly long coaching search.

There’s not a “fan base” in American sports who so passionately finds reasons from DAY ONE to disqualify a coach. Day one! You’re worse than weak minded, you’re hopeless and dull hearted, you have no ability to endure ups or downs. You aren’t brave or loyal just because you’re still posting on a message board after 20 years of gross ineptitude, you’re either messed up in the head and too lazy to produce something of value. So you leech optimism away by agreeing with the most absurd porsters on this website. “Sorry man but that’s just how it’s always been with Miami.” Then get out. I mean it, get out of the fan base if nothing short of multiple national championships will make you happy. You just cant be made happy.

Now when we are at least pretending to become a big player again, y’all can’t help but vomit all over every single thread. “He‘s whiffing in the portal!” Is he? That story is over, huh? Who we got doesn’t matter and who comes next doesn’t either. It’s all about MY GROWN UP FEELINGS RIGHT NOW. You don’t have to like what he’s done in the portal, but good lord it’s not a zero sum game.

This fan base IS Manny Diaz. A bunch of under-qualified know-nothings who think they've earned the right to represent the school. Because they know the history of the program that they’re somehow a part of it. Nah, most of y’all are straight trash as fans. Always have been and always will be. You morphed somewhere along the way from Miami fans to anti-Miami fans. Whatever dark light you need to shine on the program you will, whatever systemic doubt you need to sow you will, whatever joke you need to make to mock a positive outlook you will.

And Mario, HIRE SOME FREAKING COACHES ALREADY. HOLY CRAP MAN. IT ISNT MARRIAGE BABE, THEY GUNS ON A BATTLESHIP. NOTHING MORE, NOTHING LESS.

Hot take: this single message board post has done more for Miami Hurricanes football than anything from the last 4 coaching regimes.

Thanks for all you do babe, now is the time for support from REAL fans only. Want to be an elite program again? Elite support and confidence as a fan goes a long way. Doesn’t mean you can’t be critical, just don’t have to be an insufferable cvnt about everything!

Yeah I just lived in Houston and watched him coach as part of my job for years. Sat down with football people who watch film because it is their job and no one at any point has been overwhelmed by Bill O'Brien. His QB was a Hall of Famer and best to ever do it. One TE was a Hall of Famer and the other could've been if he didn't kill people. And his HC was one of the best of all time. Overwhelming talent.
 
I figured it out. Mario is waiting on Mike Shula. He is qb coach at giants right? Or is he at Denver now? and with a new coach at both places maybe he is going to let go.
 
You would think that moves like this this late would rub some recruits/parents the wrong way with what he was just telling everyone last weekend. But nooooooo lol if I was a parent I wouldn't be to happy being lied to business or not

I think it cuts both ways.

I’m 💯 on board with Mario, but posters
- don’t **** on other posters and then tell them it’s raining
- and then tell them well it’s **** but Mario’s **** is like rain so it’s ok
- don’t be condescending pricks to everyone that is like hey, bro, this isn’t great
- don’t expect others to just trust the process
- stop using the low bar of better than Manny as a comparison - Manny’s gone,
accountability starts over

One reason posters are strongly questioning or pointing out L’s or being over the top critical relates to the above. Others are straight ********. Others are trying to be right.

I just want ******* wins. Everyone wants ******* wins. Wins in everything. Wins with coaches. Wins with recruits. Wins with facilities. Wins on the field.

Let’s ******* go!

I pity our poor HR department. Spending months calling references, sending these guys to Quest Diagnostic for **** tests, checking credit, doing criminal and driving record checks, having them complete typing tests and MS Office assessments.....only to see them walk after you scheduled their workplace harassment seminars and their briefings about the dental plan.

You do realize there is more than Manny’s watch the finish vs. this? Plenty of staffs across the country have been filled after interviews, vetting processes, and being thorough. Hiring a complete staff in less than two months and before signing national signing day is not some unreasonable demand on the fans’ part. It is basic common sense.

This whole narrative of Mario is the recruiter and doesn’t need anyone else is almost as tiring. For one, work smarter not harder. Two, he hasn’t been able to close a deal on coordinators or many assistants. I hope the wait is worth it because this is past the point of reason and is raising some red flags. Make a ******* decision and hire your staff already.

BMac is a bit of a surprise but I said a few days ago when news broke that UGA was interested, the pull of going home would surely be a factor.

When the process of replacing Manny started the theme was “Let’s go big “. The powers that be went after Mario and Rad and made it happen This mantra may very well have been Mario’s mindset during his coaching hiring process. It seems Mario may have underestimated the the height of the mountain he had to overcome.

I still believe Mario is the right hire at the right time. We all know where this program has been the last 20 or so years and will take a monumental effort to return us to prominence. NO ONE will outwork Mario. On the recruiting front, Mario’s doing what Mario does. The obvious next challenge is filling the coaching positions. All we can do is hope he has a plan with n place and it comes to fruition SOON.

There are legit reasons(rationalizations) and excuses on why what happened isn't the end of the world but at the end of the day this all looks optically terrible at the very least
 
gaby confirmed the DVD smoke and said he doesn’t think it was UGA initiating contact. Could just be looking for a pay raise but jfc.
