Thing is, even if we are, Mario’s plan C and D is still better than Manny’s plan A.
There's a difference between investing and lighting $ on fire when there's other optionsmoney isn't an issue I heard. if that's why we may not have belk and the only reason why, then miss me on the we have a huge budget bull****. you don't go around telling the world we have this huge investment and refuse to go after the candidate you want at DC due to financial reasons.
Say the buyout is $5M (who knows)… that’s a huge one time payment for a DC that likely will leave in 2 years (P5 HC)money isn't an issue I heard. if that's why we may not have belk and the only reason why, then miss me on the we have a huge budget bull****. you don't go around telling the world we have this huge investment and refuse to go after the candidate you want at DC due to financial reasons.

Recent addition / editCribby also mentioned him in the OP lmao.
I agree wholeheartedly. I'm not ready to completely trash the process, but Belk should of been acquired. You can't be missing on coaches to Houston. I'm a fair man. I understand Schumann wanting to stay at Georgia. It's Georgia. But group of five Houston...nah man. That's garbage. Belk is an elite young coach, finalist for defensive coordinator of the year in 2021, Saban coaching tree, runs the scheme that fits your personnel the best, and his players seem to respect him. I don't get missing on him especially if he interviewed and wanted the job. Campanile is a significant step down.100 percent. If we now actually have the ability to spend more $ on a staff than any other program in the ACC and we can’t pull a guy from Houston (especially since Belk has no real ties to that program) it’s very concerning and raises serious questions about the approach here.
Ironically Manny was the king of the offsznMario putting on a clinic of how to ruin offseason momentum.

What do you think it would've looked like if Manny was still HC ? We would've kept maybe 3-5 total commits and stuck with a D3 coaching staffMario putting on a clinic of how to ruin offseason momentum.
I get it but it’s not like we have unlimited resources ($), especially since we just started opening up the checkbookwhy invest 80 mill into a HC and then have him told no to his DC hire after 8 weeks of looking bc of 5 mill (w.e. the amount is). if the hire works out and we win off the bat, then it'll pay itself off. we paid 4 mill to temple after 8 min.
Yeen! I’m adding that to finna and wi pipo on the CIS list of words I thought people spoke but not actually wrote out.
IF the issue is the buyout it’s a huge failure on our part. That’s something that you address with his agent before you even do an interview.Say the buyout is $5M (who knows)… that’s a huge one time payment for a DC that likely will leave in 2 years (P5 HC)
That's not an apples to oranges comparison. No one doubts it was time to move on from Manny (except Fraggle). What do you think it would've looked like if Manny was still HC ? We would've kept maybe 3-5 total commits and stuck with a D3 coaching staff
Simple solution is to put the same hefty buyout on his new contract here if he leaves. We would indirectly get the money back.why invest 80 mill into a HC and then have him told no to his DC hire after 8 weeks of looking bc of 5 mill (w.e. the amount is). if the hire works out and we win off the bat, then it'll pay itself off. we paid 4 mill to temple after 8 min.
Campanile or Belk would be 'green' hires. Belk only started calling plays in 2021. He'd been a Co-DC up to that point and didn't have full control. Getting vets with long track records doesn't appear to be something Mario is focused on.Campanile, just like Whipple, could end up being an elite hire, but they are both green as ****.
We’re really rolling the dice here, if we end up with those two, which is shocking considering the budget Mario had to work with. I’m puzzled he’s willing to take the risk that it all works out.
But regardless, if it’s going to be them, let’s just get it done sooner rather than later.
AgreeI still think Belk is the guy and the contract buyout is just complicated because he got a raise a month ago
I think I have one i did for another poster. Let me look. They still can’t be naked pics.I have been wanting to post some *** and ****ays can you send this tutorial to my DM.
