I think Campanile is a good hire. I mentioned him hundreds of pages ago as someone who should be considered for a spot on staff.
Campanile, just like Whipple, could end up being an elite hire, but they are both green as ****.

We’re really rolling the dice here, if we end up with those two, which is shocking considering the budget Mario had to work with. I’m puzzled he’s willing to take the risk that it all works out.

But regardless, if it’s going to be them, let’s just get it done sooner rather than later.

Thing is, even if we are, Mario’s plan C and D is still better than Manny’s plan A.
Is that the goal though? To be just better than Manny or is the goal to get elite coaches and players to win national championships. I have long said, I don't care who the coach is, just win big or face criticism. The bottom line is, Mario has been afforded resources never given to any coach here before in history and him being on plan C and D is surprising and somewhat disappointing considering the length of time this has taken.

what if the fins guy wants to stay there. I know fins are telling their prospective coaches that the D room stays in tact
I doubt he’d reject a promotion and a raise. Plus, he wouldn’t even have to move his family — he’s already in Miami.

well wait and see on the OC first lol. as bad as Manny is, his offensive hire with Lashlee was good. if we end up w some 1945 archaic bull**** scheme and philosophy, then yes we had a better oC before. I just hope we keep the modern offense lol.
I give Manny props for bringing in Lashlee, but first he had Enos, and that was a dreadful hire.

You did it the right way. Whatever happened to you here has actually happened to me before. When you click the spoiler eye with the crossout and enter the spoiler name you give it, this should appear and you post the gif in between it:

(SPOILER] [/SPOILER)

For some reason there was an extra letter - an “I” before the “S” in each word so it read:

(ISPOILER] [/ISPOILER)

The only parentheses are [ ] but if I do that here, it won’t be visible as it is picked up as code.
I have been wanting to post some *** and ****ays can you send this tutorial to my DM.

P.S. Please and Thank you

This will not be a popular opinion but if Mario wants Belk and can’t get him away from Houston that’s concerning.
This whole situation has gone from the ridiculous to the sublime
100 percent. If we now actually have the ability to spend more $ on a staff than any other program in the ACC and we can’t pull a guy from Houston (especially since Belk has no real ties to that program) it’s very concerning and raises serious questions about the approach here.

well Enos was a big time candidate coming off an NC at Bama after coaching Tua and Hurts. I could say the same a future OC hire without knowing the results. in the end, enos sucked and his scheme did not fit what our roster was and is. the only benefit is that Enos is the reason we have TVD and he was the reason we began recruiting Jake Garcia (Garcia considered Arky at the end bc of his relationship w a former Enos assistant here).

Yeah interesting to see how this is gonna shake out because in addition to allegedly being able to pay top dollar, Mario is highly regarding in coaching circles.

There has got to be more the story … like a hefty buyout in his latest contract

money isn't an issue I heard. if that's why we may not have belk and the only reason why, then miss me on the we have a huge budget bull****. you don't go around telling the world we have this huge investment and refuse to go after the candidate you want at DC due to financial reasons.
