I'm going to submit a name for consideration that I know the betas on this board won't like, "he's a bad guy", "he'll never take the job", "why would he take a demotion", "he doesn't fit Mario's culture", and whatever other BS cliches they wanna throw in.

Before I say the name, consider the following:

- This guy has always been a brilliant offensive mind
- He originally rose the ranks pretty quickly and parlayed that into an NFL Head Coach position. He didn't work out as an NFL HC but that fact has ZERO correlation as to how good a COLLEGE OC he is and could be.
- He's been humbled, and you can argue he's now on the downside of his career. He's still currently a head coach, but it's at a smaller program and it appears his days as a HC at big time programs are over. His profile fits exactly with the type of former HC that would consider a move down to coordinator, but at a much bigger program in the mainsteam spotlight.

That name, and the guy that would have been my FIRST phone call.........is Bobby Petrino.

His offense would absolutely kill it here. Shallow crosses and vertical shots which is what I've been yelling for on these boards for over 20 years.

Neg away. I know there is little chance they are actually looking at him, but I still maintain he would be a great hire as an OC.

It matters that he absolutely NAILS the coordinator hires.

Certainly agree with this part. He is highly dependent on the ability of his coordinators in comparison to coaches like Saban, Smart, Jimbo , Riley and others that can handle an entire side of the ball themselves.

He needs to nail these hires. I don’t want to see us taking a “Tim Deyruter” type that has to be let go in two seasons because their side of the ball underachieved due to their relative mediocrity holding back our success.

Belk in his first year as a play caller put out a top 10 defense and was literally ranked among the top in every defensive category. Mason has never had a top 10 defense.

Belk numbers heavily skewed against the weaker offenses.

Would have liked to see more resistance when stepped up in class

I didn't expect them to beat Cincy, but early 4th quarter Cincy was averaging over 10 +yards play on offense...It was mommy please make the bad man stop hitting me

I don't mind Belk...And could live with the hire.

Also, in '12 and '13 at Stanford...Mason's defenses ranked top 10 in BOTH SP+ and FEI rankings. Belk's weren't top 20 in either this year. I mean if you want to use a 1980ish stat like yards per game by all means do so.

1. What does have "betas" have anything to do with this? I swear, people need to stop using this beta analogy for anyone who is against something. It doesnt make sense whatsoever.
2. No, I can very easily explain to you why Bobby Petrino wont and shouldnt be hired: Bobby Petrino is a fraud, a quitter and a lying, cheating scumbag even towards his wife and kids, ruining one persons life forever and almost killing her in a motorcycle accident.

If people view T-Rob as not trustworthy, I dont even want to know what they think about him. I'd rather hire Ponce for ***** sake.

100% agree. I don't care how long he takes as long as he gets quality hires.

Send me business and all is forgiven.

Real estate atty - represent investors, developers and we have a title company to do closings.

I'm actually not insulted at all by your comment lol, just trying to build my post count up in here and gain some business apparently.
I’d gladly send business your way except I’m literally 1000 miles from the 305.

I’ve taken friendly jabs at TOC and he’s been a great sport. There’s no one that bleeds orange and green more than him.

Here come the betas right on queue.

All of those concerns you have would be an absolute deal breaker for an HC hire...we are talking about the OFFENSIVE COORDINATOR position.

There are plenty of people in sports today, who have done similar if not worse things, who are still employed and still get chances. The guy is still a HC for God's sake...it's not like he's been given the Gruden treatment and can't coach football anymore.

Solid points re: the statistical background.

I think Mason’s resume instill more confidence. Belk certainly has potential but not as much récord to point to.

I would hope that if we do go with Belk, that the OC hire has a more extensive resume calling plays. Would be pretty risky otherwise.

My friend took clomid and he got up to like 900 on his levels. Not sure what his free testosterone is which is really the key to it all.

So much goes into the lab work with estrogen, sghb I think the binding of your free test etc… really need to research and get with a good doctor cause some won’t prescribe it and just think men should walk around with 100-200 range test which is extremely unhealthy and more dangerous than high test.
100%.

I’ve been on TRT for years now. At 57, keep my total T around 900, estradiol around 25. I haven’t tested free T and SHBG in awhile but have labs scheduled in a few weeks. One thing about TRT is once you start you need to stay on a routine. Even with HCG.

Anyone interested may wish to listen to Andrew Huberman’s podcast episode on hormone optimization. A lot of good information and focus on lifestyle changes, especially sleep (as mentioned), before moving on to supplements and hormone replacement.

Marek Health provides self service lab work at a reasonable price. In case you have insurance problems or other issues obtaining comprehensive lab work. Mark Bell had a code for a discount, POWERPROJECT15, for 15% off, but might not be valid any longer.
