If Raymond was interested as has been said a few times why can't Mario hire him now that T-Rob left? It's not like other teams haven't done that before

Don't let facts get in the way of a good conspiracy

I don't know if it's a conspiracy - seems we have a lot of reputable posters who said Raymond reached out to Mario. And I'm guessing that coaches around CFB had a fair idea that Mario was leaving Oregon for UM before he was officially hired.

LSU didn't have a HC, it's entirely possible that Raymond reached out to Mario while he was still at Oregon to let him know he'd be interested in being the CB coach if Mario took the UM gig.

ferman is so dumb. comes out publicly stating mario wouldn't offer a job unless it would be accepted AFTER it's been confirmed that mario offered a job to candle and it was declined.

Yes. These guys are manufacturing events inaccurately and without context.
I disagree. I think posters are commenting on the details available at the time - which over the last 24-48 hours, coinciding with TRob leaving and Mario criticism, have been updated.

- Mario got hired
- Raymond’s side contacted Miami showing interest
- Before Mario could get back to him, Florida got him

What am I missing? What are people manufacturing?

How do you offer a job without offering a job?

Isn’t asking if they would accept kinda an offer?

So like... Technically, there haven’t been any offers at all yet or is it like you have to accept that you will be offered & then when you’re offered if you don’t accept the offer, the offer doesn’t count?

Wait what?

I don't think it's as complicated as you're making it out to be, though the wording doesn't help at all. Obviously we only have what the canesport guy is saying, which I assume we all take with a grain of salt. I take it to mean that Mario looks to get a level of certainty - in this case, an assurance from the candidate in question - that an offer would be accepted before giving them an offer (verbal or contract? Unclear). It's certainly still possible that, after a candidate says they'd take the offer, at the last minute they decide to back out. Job offer of multiple years has to be in writing so whatever they verbally agreed to wouldn't be binding.

Imagine how hard I laughed when I read that Tweet...

Put aside my insane trolling for a second, yall know how logical I am for real, when I read that I was like...

Does he know how that sounds when you read it out loud??? LOL.

If we don't have coordinators yet, and you live in South Florida, you should go to the basketball game Saturday afternoon against FSU. Miami is 14-4, 6-1 in the ACC and in first place. FSU is 12-5, 5-2 and in second place. Our only ACC loss is to FSU on a horrible foul call by the refs.
Even if we have coordinators 👆🏼

Who actually confirmed it? An internet "journalist"?

I mean, there WERE a bunch of guys who posted that Miami "turned down" Corey Raymond "because" we already had T-Rob.

At any rate, I think Raymond made his decision and will not now change his mind to leave Gaypier and the Gaytors.
