Yup position coaches can only help you so much. The DC ultimately runs the show on defense and dictates what the position coaches do. TRob is a good recruiter, but Mario will make sure we have good recruiters on defense.

Well now that this is out I’ll say it. I knew late afternoon he was gone, I was told to not say anything until players were notified. I told a couple people I trust @Hoyacane1620 , @IndayArtHauz and @Dwinstitles when he asked. My post earlier was true , he was telling players up to yesterday he was returning. As @Boarcane mentioned there was a meeting yesterday. But I made sure to add if he leaves it would be a very bad look after everything he’s told recruits and especially players. Reiterating he was staying.

It’s a nasty business , everyone is out out for themselves. His goal is to be a head coach and he likely thought this was the best option to speed it up. It sucks but i think we’ll be just fine. Recruiting won’t be an issue regardless if he’s here or not.

Are you saying recruiting is not going to be an issue because of T-Rob’s replacement? Or are you just speaking generally?

Did he take the same title ? Was Mario not willing to bump his pay? Because he's going from actually having control to being babysat by Saban. And honestly we are going to have a rough time recruiting against him and Saban for guys they want. No way around that

How do you know what Raymond wanted? What if he wanted the DC role too? Co DC? Mario clearly has a plan and maybe that what Raymond wanted didn't fit in his plan.

This is getting embarrassing. WR recruit goes to JSU because we don't have an OC and Saban coming last second to steal our DB coach. I thought Manny left
