I honestly don't give a rat's a$$ what the media thinks, or the national perception of it all. No one remembers the lead up to a hire unless it's historic or an absolute ****show (like Schiano at Tenn), heck you don't hear anyone really talking about Manny anymore.
What I do care about, is the fact that we're heading into the biggest 2023 recruiting weekend in recent memory, absolutely LOADED with talent...and we have half our staff filled out. (I'm including T-Rob). It's just a very easy thing to negatively recruit against, and yes - I realize there's tons of time since it's the 2023 class and we will probably have our staff fully hired by the time ESD comes around next December (I kid). But...while it's refreshing to see the positive signs regarding the detailed vetting process, coupled with the commitment to securing big-name coaches as coordinators with a hefty salary to show off, there's a balance between being thorough, and indecisive. Certainly this isn't helping with a handful of 2022 recruits (particularly the portal) as well.
I admit at this point, impatience is increasing. If a DC has been decided, why hasn't he been announced? What could you be possibly waiting for, other than to announce both hires on the same day? Just feel like at this point in the search, it would be more beneficial to start naming names (if he or other position coaches are indeed hired at this point) rather than to let this drag out even further.
