No way to put lipstick on it. Would be a loss. He is top 5 at his position and should be paid like it. This is not as easy a staff position to refill as perhaps rb or lb coach.

He would have much more autonomy here to coach his way and recruit his peeps. But it’s Bama. I’d be more upset that we let this program deteriorate to this point that it’s a valid decision than I am of him making it.

Call me petty but I would want an answer by Fri. I wouldn’t want him here at the Elite weekend with these studs we have coming on campus and then bouncing on Monday.

Good news: He is still here and recruiting with the staff. We got Mario and we got cash. Let’s fight.

It was more out of emotion and frustration than anything haha; I admit it. Still...like I trust him to make the right decisions, and based on the figure that was thrown out for OC, we're trying to play with the big boys in terms of salary across the board, so that's really good news...to me, that means we should match whatever Bama is trying to throw at T-Rob and give him a "Co-DC" in name only.

Really hope you're right about the whole vetting process being over...biggest recruiting weekend to date and losing T-Rob before that would be a sucker punch. That and the fact that we still don't have any coordinators, signing day is in less than two weeks.

Can anyone with scheme knowledge discuss the run blocking / pass protection principals of a Kittley/Kingsbury air raid system and why they would or would not be something that meshes with how Cristobal/Mirabol want to coach OL?
