First and foremost you can’t spell. So congrats on that.

Secondly if you can’t grasp that us hiring a sitting G5 Head Coach, one you runs as great of an offense as he does(with lesser talent), that recruits as well as he does(with lesser resources), is a splash hire then I don’t know man maybe football fandom isnt for you.

also the above points aren’t just fan ****. Backed up with stats. And years of it.
You the grammar police? Am i getting extra credit on my Advanced English exam from 20 years ago? So stop it....be a grown up. What you define as a splash hire isn't the same for everyone...Head coach at a G5 school or not....This in my opinion is not what a splash hire is? No one thought of Jason Candle....no one. Not impressed with the monster recruiting haul over the years...just meh....same goes for the record....just meh....not saying he won't work here but if he is the guy, why hide this? This isn't going to shake the college football world...its just a regular hire....congrats "my dude".....

Yeah, I’m where you’re at. He’s been at Toledo for 6 years and has done well. I would not be surprised if P5 comes calling soon for HC jobs. Now he’d take an OC gig?
They've leveled off the past few years. Don't think many P5's are coming for him

Allegedly Va Tech, Illinois and one other team completely ignored him when he reached out about their HC vacancies. Probably looks at Miami and knows he can get paid more (plus no tax) and end up in a similar position as Lashlee, (or hopefully better) if he succeeds.

The definition of "betting on yourself" here.

Really wanted a guy who had a proven track record of coaching and developing the QB position, but it would still be a great hire

@Liberty City El BROOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!
He has terrific multiplicity in his passing offense.

Those Torpedo Toledo’s offenses has produced some solid NFL WR’s over the years.

Insane that a coach who’s 45-27 for his career as a MAC coach would even be considered on the hot seat.

Those ungrateful ********...

As a Toledo kid, I would absolutely freaking love this hire. He runs a up tempo spread offense, but can totally adjust it depending on the personnel and who his QB is. Reminds me of Mullen in the sense that he has a grear feel for the game in real time. Matt Campbell disciple, and has recruited Florida pretty well. Love his run game concepts and use of TE as well.
Yeah I remember the game we played them he called a really good game was impressed

I remember what he did in 2017 with the best QB that they have had in quite some time when they carved us tf up, just wait until he gets a hold of TVD. Statistically, his passing offenses have been up and down since he has taken over as HC but in 2017 when they had a legit guy in Whiteside back there, their offense was absolutely humming. Needless to say this will be the best set of toys he has ever had to play with and he can give 100% of his focus to strictly coordinating an offense. He is also a pretty **** solid HC which will obviously help a ton and he had sustained something pretty nice at Toledo after Campbell left but again, gangsta move by Mario and Candle must really believe he can do the **** thing here, on top of the pay bump. Fingers crossed here.
