And miss helping get this thread to reach 1000 pages. No thanksEverybody go take a nap, I’ll wake you all up when there’s some news.
It's half time. Everyone's getting some grub, drinking beer, icing their hands from typing, and hitting the restroom. We will back this back up, and finish the 2nd half strong.
One of my kids is still in your area and said the snow was heavy yesterday.
A nap? More like hibernation.Everybody go take a nap, I’ll wake you all up when there’s some news.
Had to fly in/out of BWI and what normal takes less than hour to get into DC took over 2 hours.
Agreed. We all know the day it is, will be the day it was always suppose to be…. per saucesOf course. I’m just messing around.
Except for the fact that Mario is known for hiring complete staffs of recruitersIf you have heavy recruiters amongst your assistants and support staff maybe makes getting a competent coordinator that is not known for recruiting less of a priority.
Yeah they don’t know how to drive in it and in DC itself when I was living there back when I was in school, they took forever to move the snow. I’d be buried for 6 days on a street at times.Had to fly in/out of BWI and what normal takes less than hour to get into DC took over 2 hours.
LOL.......washed up Butch Davis.........no..........absolutely not!Mario clearly wants to get these hires right. You all think he's leaning on guys like Butch for advice?
This is kinda where I'm at. HCs, even great ones, are notorious overthinkers. And I get that I do. And if this process yields the best possible results then I'm all for it. But let's not pretend like every coordinator hire Mario has ever made has been a home run due to his meticulous vetting process. Take your time and get it right, or rush into it and get it right. Just get it right.According to that video of him explaining his hiring process, he does 5 hour interviews and makes candidates do live teaching presentations lmao
What a bizarre way of doing interviews. I kinda get it for first time coordinators because they have no track record to evaluate, but for candidates who have already been coordinators before, it really makes no sense.
Someone can crush a 5 hour interview and be a **** coordinator. People raved about Doritos intelligence and understanding of the game, yet he fielded dog**** defenses. For coordinators with a track record, look at the objective evidence (offensive/defensive efficiency, success rate, etc.) and also the film. Those are much better indicators of whether someone is a good coordinator then whether they do good on an interview teaching presentation lol
Looks like Briles learned from dad well.
whoa!!!
I imagine there is a balance involved. It's going to be hard to find staff equally good at both coordinating, teaching, developing and recruiting. Some concessions will probably need to happen.Except for the fact that Mario is known for hiring complete staffs of recruiters
Ouch......Holy ****!
