I can see Mario being able to keep the OC and DC stuff under wraps, especially if they’re coming from the NFL, but much harder to keep position coach news from leaking out (like it did with Kevin Smith). If we assume that DVD and Field are staying in their roles, then it’s really just OC, DC and ST that we’re waiting on (plus official announcement of Smith).

Oh I'm with you. Hurtt and Ponce would be incredibly disappointing regardless of how the apologists try to spin it but I really don't think those guys are in the mix.

- Kendall Briles n.1 target for OC, Dorsey is in contention and named Ponce as a well-regarded guy.
- DC: Clint Hurtt, Glenn Schumann, Doug Belk.

Possible, but assuming the Smith stuff is true we’ve already hired 3 offensive assistants. And TE is usually more of a recruiting slot anyway so of the slots on the offensive staff it’s probably the one an OC would care least about having input on.
