And if Clint Hurt is named DC Mario is gonna lose the fan base right out of the gate.
I really don't think it's going to be Hurtt but in the hypothetical scenario where he did choose Hurtt, I'd be pretty ****ed but I think most of the fanbase would give Mario a pass. Regardless of who he hires, we're going to hear a lot of "I trust Mario. He knows better than you" sentiment.

Ever stop to think that Mario has this wrapped up so tight that folks are trying to connect dots/throw out names? Look at what happened with Chud and the OC hire rumor and he isn't even coming here as an analyst.
that got debunked? I thought Chud would be here in some form as an advisor?

also since this is just a rumor filled thread, if we waited on that logic, wed only have 2 pages. since all we have are rumors, were at 605 pages

even if hes just ripping off other peoples info, get hurtt and ponce out of my sight. those two shouldn't even be considered as a coordinator at UM.

fwiw - it appears Dorsey may end up with an NFL OC job either with buffalo if Daboll leaves or as Dabolls OC

X a billion on Ponce and Hurtt

I get so tired of every opening at Miami having to be filled by someone with Miami ties

Besides Michigan, I can’t think of any other top 20 program that constantly thinks this way

Not to mention, Dorsey has NFL experience that most college OCs can only dream of. He'd do well here picking apart college Ds with his wealth of knowledge.

Dorsey is a smart dude, but imo, I just don't see him going to be a College OC when he should have an NFL OC opp this cycle esp with all the extra BS that comes along with coaching college

We need the announcements made. We will find good and bad with Any coordinator but If he doesn’t get these guys announced by this afternoon or bright and early tomorrow he’s already on his way to me losing confidence in the guy. This is approaching incompetence levels, especially if he’s just doing it out of respect. I understand the sentiment of getting it right but in the age of the portal there needs to be some urgency.

My favorite wrestler as a kid “ sting” is on the right. The blade runners were supposedly the worst workers in history back then. Also dangerous as ****. Sting at least became a pretty good worker , warrior not so much.
Warrior...not a technician. Loved him as a kid, but as a seasoned fan, gotta go with the masters of the craft like Mach.

I can see that as well. However, it's just different when it's your school. If we are going to pay him a lot of money, in a state with no state income tax, he might just jump at the chance.

I am frustrated with this but also think that Mario might have let these guys finish their seasons before approaching them with the specifics. I am thinking about Schumann specifically with this comment.

Once they decide on specific terms, HR needs to do their due diligence and then they need to put it all in paper and execute the contract. I think that it could be done quicker but am still keeping the faith considering that UGA wrapped up their season roughly 60 hours ago.

It felt like an eternity for Mario to get hired once the smoke started to rise after the PAC championship. Radakovich official announcement was two weeks after Mario was officially introduced at the press conference and his news broke the Friday night before Mario was supposedly negotiating with us on the following Sunday.

Point is that anything truly important is taking time. I don’t think that we have the luxury of time right now given the upcoming recruiting weekends and hopefully this too is understood by all involved. I do feel that if it were Briles, we’d be done right now, unless he insisted in announcing both coordinators at the same time. That being said, the NFL regular season ended less than 96 hours ago, so I personally hope that we haven’t announced Herman yet due to the time that it takes to get things done.

Regardless, I’m impressed with no leaks in this process as it demonstrates a program being run by professionals and not a bunch of guys on a message board (no offense fellas).
