Some names to watch before it’s deleted

I actually look at what they do not all the hype they get.
You obviously don't. Briles has improved every offense he's ever coached and Brady won the Broyles award after arguably the best offense in CFB history. Coley threw half back passes in the snow and was equally horrendous at UGA.

Personally I don’t want a guy who has never been an OC or called plays before. We don’t need to pay guys to learn on the job. With Xs and Os not being Mario’s strong suit I want someone here with experience
I agree, and Dorsey has never had to evaluate a QB and recruit him. I’m sure he helped some with Cam and Josh Allen but have either said he is a big reason for there success? Also neither one of those guys have great fundamentals and Dorsey is suppose to fix those to a certain point.

This thread is starting to give me PTSD from the Mario/Lane arguments on here not long ago. Seems like Joe Brady is the majority choice. Id be excited about him. But there is no guarantee we are going to get him. Briles is good option to have in the interview pipeline. We need someone with QB expertise on staff. Its not Mario, so needs to be the OC or a QB coach. I think a lot of the Briles flack is because he still carries that $hitstain stench on him from his FSU stint. Im guessing thats where most of this board ever watched any of his offense. It was terrible. God awful wouldnt be too strong a statement. It did improve though from before he got there. But if we are giving Joe Brady a pass for Carolina with the cant make chicken soup out of chicken **** argument, I think the same can be said for Briles and his stint at FSU. That roster sucked.

Id love to hear what people mean when they say his system is gimmicky? I watched some games when he was at Houston that year. I have a terrible memory, but I dont remember his system that way. Is he running the statue of liberty and annexation of Puerto Rico?

Again, with no guarantees that Mario and Brady can agree, what are other options? (Im keeping Dorsey out of my mind...sort of in the way I didnt want Mattingly to coach the Yankees).

- Lebby is gone.
- Would have gotten a throbbing wood over Kittley but he is gone.
- Would like Graham Harrell in the mix but that isnt happening.
- Andrew Sowder had the 8th best offense in the country at Kent St?? Worth a look? Anyone know anything about him?
- Ruggierro did wonders this year.
- Tim Cramsey from Marshall? Had the 10th highest rated offense this year and was also QB coach where his QB Grant Wells was FotY in CUSA last year.

Not advocating for any of these cats. I dont know their systems enough to do that. The Briles vs Brady argument is giving me a headache and needed to see other names. Consider this post part of my therapy.
Big ups on this post. Funny how quickly people will jump on Team (fill in the blank) without providing any substance for their choice or any alternatives.

Give me a guy that can maximize the type of athletes available to us and I'll be happy. An offense that can score in the red zone, not just move between the 20's. Personally, I like a power spread. Not necessarily wide line splits but attacking the field laterally and vertically. Notice that we had a hard time with short yardage situations this year. Yet, when we went 4-wide or trips to field side, suddenly we had more room to run.

Alright this is obviously a troll at this point. Coley over Brady and now Briles. Nobody is possibly this stupid.

It’s always the same dumbass argument. “Did nothing at fsu”. We say it all the time on this board, not many people here even watch our games intently, then fewer watch fsu, then even less watch anyone else. The dude has been one of the top coordinators in the country at multiple stops for 6-7 years now but, nope, he didn’t win the ACC with James Blackman so he sucks.

We also don’t know what kind of offense he would run here. Would lean to be more pro style than what lashlee’s scheme is. Not saying that it would be a bad thing or not, but I doubt he would come in with the power spread that we just watched.

Jesus himself could have been the OC for them and they still would suck. That OL was equivalent to a high school team. Still kinda is. Now I am angry again with Manny for losing to that poverty *** team. FIU was the worst loss in our history but FSU this year is second for sure.

Nah, that was expected, Schumann is like 3rd in line for the DC position at UGA, at least as far as I am aware, Cribby might override me.
UGA peeps saying Shu was next in line for DC that's why they were hoping Lanning got a HC job when the rumors of Shu leaving started coming out. They don't think Muschamp is in a rush to be DC and is content just being "home"

What did Briles do for FSU except take their money. Runs route concepts that won't help our WRs get drafted. I like Brady, just not enough body of work to earn my trust. As I have said, I like Coley because I know what I'm going to get. He's a good play caller. I'm not saying Coley is best. I like Brady and he would be good for TVD, but I want someone with him until he's more seasoned.

LOL come on. We were a 2.5 point favorite. That loss isn’t even in the top 20. We lost 48-0 to a bunch of dorks in the last game in our stadium.

That’s fair, then again it’s Kirby Smart so anything is possible when it comes to his ineptitude, let’s see how it plays out.

Yep that’ll be the end of those hopes unless they give the job to Muschamp
This isn’t good ( if true)

I know a lot of people including fans want Schuman , that way they’ won’t lose him. If he is the Dc I guess we should just go get Muschamp instead lol. I'm sure there's other candidates here just in case Schuman says no

Nothing. He was terrible. He literally lost the Wake and Virginia games that year with his play calling. Take away the UL Monroe and Alabama State stats and his offensive efficiency was ******* atrocious.
