I was just going to ask if he is a big loss… Im not surprised he moved on. Besides having worked with the Duke HC at Tamu, Mario wasn’t going to have him as a on field coach.

I listened to a podcast with the guy. He’s going to be a rising star coach and recruiter in a few years. Smart guy. Was a consultant at Deloitte after playing college ball at Purdue.

tbh, he was coaching out of position and was another green/cheap hire. At least he could recruit unlike Patke and Richt Jr.

I agree that he was green coaching wise. Like a couple other Manny hires, it would’ve been nice if they got real experience elsewhere before Miami. But I did appreciate his recruiting.

No doubt. He just got but in a bad position. He needed to cut his teeth at a G5 or low tier P5 like Duke. Going from analyst to hire pressure job at a program Miami is not ideal and rarely works.

Adding Gibbs from GT at RB, Ricks from LSU to shore up the CB spot.
Easily the favorites to win it all next year imo.

I spend very little time on there. I spent the most time in years recently leading up to the Mario hiring. Pretty certain I’m on thin ice over there I used to always tell people to come over here there but I think Ferman is struggling with subs. It’s a ghost town over there compared to here.

I'm pretty sure that landed the top 2 OT last cycle, along with the top OG and C. They do that pretty much every cycle. They also have an ex-NFL HC coaching their OL. If they have bad OL play then it would be insane.
