Well he said that Pruitt is being followed by some of our players and coaches, including Mario on Twitter. I don’t have an account to look but someone who does could easily confirm if this is bs or not.
So Mario follows a guy he used to be on staff with? And our players follow a guy who used to be a head coach and was recruiting them? Wow.

Coaches and players do follow him but none are recent follows.

Pruitt would be an A++++ hire though. Someone needs to plant it in Mario’s head. Had the top ranked D in 3 of the 5 seasons he was a DC.

I see the future!!
The year is 2035 and a young boy asks his father “dad what does this word mean”?
“Oh, that word is patience. It means when you wait for something to happen without getting worried, anxious or angry”
“Why would anyone have to wait for anything dad”?

If we are to the level where we are gonna start stringing together Twitter followers to predict who our coordinators are gonna then this guy’s name will eventually pop up.

That's the thing I don't get with some people's logic. He's not good enough for consideration at UM since he's never called plays, but yet he is being considered by NFL teams to do just that.
clint hurtt was interviewed in the nfl too. do you want him as dc?

I assume Mario will release a name today.

He has 3 announced 7 remaining.

Saturday - TROB
Sunday - RB coach?
Monday - TE coach?
Tuesday - DC?
Wednesday - LB coach?
Thursday - ST coach?
Friday - OC - recruits arrive for visits?
I don’t see a dedicated ST coach. Probably another DB coach in that spot.

I'm not much of a Twitter tea leaves kind of guy but some of those follows don't make sense unless he's in talks to come

He's got a terrible rap after Tennessee

I'm going to deep dive on his DC ability, if he's good enough for Saban then I'm happy as long as Mario keeps him in line

So at least there's acknowledgement he is being followed by current UM staff and players. Why? You could be right. Maybe Pop Cooney has a man crush on him for all we know.

You think there's logic at work there?
Yes, but very bad. Thing is he is going to have to call plays somewhere if he aspires to be an NFL OC. He is almost guaranteed to get the OC job here if he wants it. He will have to wait and see what happens in NFL. And it's not like coming here will derail future NFL aspirations, especially if successful. He will also be given time to grow into the role at Miami. In NFL he could be one and done...like what happened to Brady.

Brady was put in a no win situation. Hopefully Dorsey learns from that and waits for/picks the right one. People are also gun shy on Dorsey because he supposedly hates recruiting. This is probably based on some interview from years ago when he was asked if/why he prefers coaching in the NFL to college. He may have mentioned something off hand about the recruiting process in general.. Which is not to say if he took a college gig he would hate doing it or wouldn't be effective at it.
