The only reason people are handwringing about Dorsey is because "bRInG BacK dORSeY fOUr oC" has been a meme for over 10 years now. Same reason why people like myself called Mario "Cuban Al Golden" 7 years ago.

People dead set against both coming here always said, for years, they needed to go somewhere else to prove they are qualified first. Mario did that and here we are. IMO given his work as a QB coach at the NFL level, Dorsey has done that as well.

I think the point he is making is that if Briles is the guy then surely Arkansas knows this. Which means Arkansas would be out trying to find an OC. They wouldn’t wait to hire an OC just because there is “plenty of time.”

I understand what he’s saying, but I’ve seen crazy things in this profession. Ark. could either, A. Don’t actually know (he’s gone) B. Know he’s gone, and going to hire someone from within.
C. They know, and have done back door “interviews” from other staffs and already know who the replacement is gonna be. or D. He’s committed to them and won’t be taking another job. We’ll just have to wait and see.

There's a ton of potential OC's in the NFL that could come call plays for us. Where did all this Dorsey smoke even come from?

I will throw a random guess out there for OC... how about Pep Hamilton?

He developed Andrew Luck & Justin Herbert & has done a good job with Davis Mills this season.

Plus, he’s been OC for the Stanford & the Colts, along with being a PGC for the Browns, Chargers & Texans.

He’s certainly qualified & being a NFL OC is at the top of the food chain, so why not?
