It's not going to be Dorsey then. Mario said on LeBatard that the whole staff is going to be named next week before end of the dead period. If it's an NFL guy, it's going to be someone on a team that isn't in the postseason.
This notion about NFL teams, the postseason and announcements about taking college jobs is usually accurate but it's hardly set in stone.

Oregon not only hired the Steelers (horrible) offensive line coach a few weeks ago as the team was (and technically is) still alive for the postseason but the Steelers even told the bum that he can leave for beautiful Eugene now.

Nice find, G Reg1327.
Now watch one of the soFla pundits run with this posted info.
I also was the one that tweeted at mirabal to change his Twitter pics and then all the sudden every news outlet was reporting he had been hired. No credit to g reg! 😂

It's done. We hired Norv Turner. We just went through Paul Dee's archived records, found Norv's old contract, and changed all the dates. We're saving a ton of money.
I'd rather Tina.

I have been waiting to 400 to share this thought

IMO…. Random **** in an R rated comedy is a lost art form.

Willing to die on this hill

Completely agree.

Was perusing HBO/Showtime recently and stupidly decided to watch a very old/very bad National Lampoon movie (the one they made after Animal House, where they spent half the budget on cocaine). There was a gratuitous scene involving a minor actress by the name of Teresa Ganzel, she used to do bit parts on The Tonight Show with Johnny Carson. Now THAT was some "lost art form"...

The only reason people are handwringing about Dorsey is because "bRInG BacK dORSeY fOUr oC" has been a meme for over 10 years now. Same reason why people like myself called Mario "Cuban Al Golden" 7 years ago.

People dead set against both coming here always said, for years, they needed to go somewhere else to prove they are qualified first. Mario did that and here we are. IMO given his work as a QB coach at the NFL level, Dorsey has done that as well.
Just to piggyback off of this, if you think Dorsey isn't qualified to be an NFL OC, as others have suggested, he's being sought after by multiple teams to do just that.

I'm not sure about this sentiment. What's stopping him from accepting this job and just continuing out the season? We've seen plenty of other coaches do this in the NFL.

The only scenario I don't want is us waiting for Dorsey, and then he gets an NFL OC gig and we're left with our thumbs up our rectums. That would be less than ideal, and while I doubt he does this to Mario...if the right offer comes up, who knows?

I'm going to be honest, though: I have a growing feeling this OC hire might be out of left field.

Quickly googling "left fielders"...

My sentiments exactly. At this point I'm worried that we're waiting on Dorsey to make a decision, and if he turns us down, what does plan B look like? Maybe Briles is plan B though. Who knows.

And yeah, "out of left field" brings back memories of the Enos hire. That didn't end well.

Could still be named .. but not on board until the Bills finish.
