didnt realize he was with the Saints for just one year.
Alot of people didn't. I'm not saying Dorsey would equal or be better than Brady in anyway. My only point is credentials wise what did Brady have the Dorsey doesn't? I'm not comparing Bradys creditntails NOW to Dorseys just saying when he went to LSU his credentials were not better than Dorseys at all.

He grew up with Earl

Not that this is specific to this thread, but what in the **** happened on the UM website where there are no bios on any of the old players? We used to be able to look up the stats and bios on all the old greats, but now there is nothing.

All the old players need to talk to Dan Radakovich about this. Beta Blake probably got a huge bill from our internet hosting company and decided to slash the bill by cutting website memory capacity...

Brady called plays ... when they went to empty sets (3 WR , bunch sets) ... on 3rd downs .. in the red zone .. i.e. .. critical situations. LSU's offense with the same QB and 3 primary WR's had 17 passing TD's in 2018 and 61 in 2019 with Brady's playbook revision and play calling creativity.

No one is debating that Brady called plays the point is before he got to LSU he hadn't... Right? Brady had to get the chance. Dorsey has to get the chance too. When he went to LSU he didn't have the credentials better than Dorsey. All I'm saying.

People are comparing what Brady has done and been apart with LSU vs the lack thereof with Dorsey. I understand the pause and I am someone who wouldn't be excited with Dorsey. I would be hesitant with Brady also, given that we don't have the weapons he had to work with.

It's really not hard to understand why people wouldn't be thrilled out Dorsey
For anyone who can make the argument for Brady yet not for Kenny I don't think they have the first clue what Kenny's actual been responsible for in Carolina and Buffalo. Kenny's credentials alongside his success is far greater than Brady's. I understand the hesitation because of the lack of a title which acknowledges playcalling along side it. However he's VERY hands on with of and qb integration. Without Kenny neither of those qbs would've accomplished what they did.

yes, this needs to be addressed by the AD even though it is a down on the list of things to do.

however, it is reflective of the James AD Period, where little things like this and many others (I have a list to be included in my letter to RAD) were discarded or disregarded by James as unimportant.

I think part if the reason is because his name used to come up before he was qualified or experienced and many hold on to that with consideration to last number of years

I was somewhat in that category regarding Clint Hurtt, but after looking up his bio, including coaches he has worked with and under, I would have no problem with him being on staff, even as Co-DC.

For the last time I'm not advocating for Dorsey but to act like he isn't qualified is nuts. He hasn't called plays... Ok as a national championship winning Qb never called audibles during a game? We not talking a former reciever... A Qb... Man worked for Big time OCs. Pro bowl Qbs who had best seasons with him coaching them. Yet a non position coach who never called plays before he got to LSU wasn't a bigger Longshot hire? Come on. Every play caller never called plays until given the opportunity. We so focused on getting the top name and not grabbing the next name before he blows up. All I'm saying.

Brady was amazing at LSU which did push him above Dorsey BUT AT THE TIME HE WAS HIRED AT LSU HE HAD DONE NOTHING IN HIS CAREER THAT RIVALED DORSEYS CAREER. I don't think that's a hot take.

Yeah, when I was a student at UM, and wrote for the newspaper and yearbook, we always had multiple copies of the Football Media Guide. Years ago, as a season ticket holder/Hurricane Club member, we had the chance to order one each year, I think it was $25. I realize that with the interwebz, a lot of the "hard copy" media guides are going by the wayside, but I hope Dan will prioritize a more exhaustive archiving of our sports history.

That is all I am saying. I think there is a reason for hesitation given what people know on the surface of Ken’s resume. Ken may quiet those concerns swiftly. I hope he does. If people looked at Brady resume minus the LSU champ season they’d be losing their ish

If Dorsey is hired as OC we should all be ecstatic. The only reason we even potentially have an opportunity to hire an NFL caliber coach with his credentials and ability is because of his ties to the program and Mario. Otherwise someone like him wouldn’t even give a second thought to coming here as OC.

It's really not a clue...there was a group of UM players back then who grew up together....Earl....Marlin Barnes (RIP)...etc....Earl was Barnes roommate at UM when him and his GF were murdered...It was Earl who found the bodies.
I remember reading that story. Craziness smh
