But I don't think there will be as many Canes vs. Gators recruiting battles in South Florida as people think. I believe they will try to lock down other parts of the state, and then go into territory those two names know well.

They are two excellent recruiters- make no mistake about it- but their success isn't South Florida based.

Was there a step back on Brady for the same reason over the last day? Or was everyone jumping the gun assuming he was hired?

I may be the outlier in this regard, but I think it's pointless. If you already know where you're going- particularly before early signing period- you should pack it up and head to the new job.

Lashlee sure as **** ain't coaching the bowl game.

Considering he's the new head man at Akron, that baffles me. He should be hitting the ground where he will need to win games. The bowl is meaningless.

youre not entirely wrong but most coaches do this because the new coaches (i.e. Mario) want to focus on recruiting while the old coaches with deal game plan and coaching the meaningless game. Also, it's a contractual thing where most coaches (Assistant mainly) have to finish season to get the full salary and bonuses.

He can coach and recruit. Despite being at Syracuse he’s been able to land some guys and they’ve went on to produce under him. He’s familiar with the area too, did a good job of recruiting Nunn from Palmetto a couple years ago
