Hey you may be right and time may be on your side. But again, if he’s so awesome why is he at Arkansas? I would understand if this was a dude who exploded on the scene last year or something. But he’s been an oc for a while now and plenty of turnover at a some pretty big programs has occurred over that time span and again he’s at Arkansas.

You really don’t like Mario. It’s pretty clear from the tone of your posts lately…. Not just Briles. I’m thinking you won’t be giving him much of a chance.

I’m on board with Mario. Just trying to understand some of the gymnastics in fending off every discussion about him, performances, etc. as if those are all out attacks on him - which just isn’t happening…so I’m mocking the **** out of it….

In terms of his coaching hires, I’m ready for them, he needs to hit on the OC and DC - which had been pretty much an agreed upon position by many posters.

I’ve also listened to Brooklyn in waiting and not getting caught up with specific names to avoid disappointment in going from rumor to reality.

As to Briles and my comments - people mock statistics and say use the eye test, until they do, and then another set of excuses/defenses come out turning the board into a lines drawn

Mario is likely the best option, at the right time, backed with the right changes in commitment, BUT he needs great coordinators since his strength is not in game coaching expertise on either side of the ball.

Fair enough. Personally, I think Mario’s shown CoRch tendencies in some games over the years as a lot of posters have pointed out over time so yeah… the hires at OC and DC are critical.

People dismissing some of the supposed hires though are unrealistic. It’s not easy to get people to lateral over from a better or close to equal team without a title. Giving out titles hampers the ability to hire the coordinators we want.

I think the staff we’ve heard about thus far is pretty **** good. If we’re looking at 2 of Mason, Schumann, Briles and Brady - or similar - that’s pretty **** good too.

How is it that you see me predicting Dorsey would be better than Briles and not think I know what premonition means?
