Some names to watch before it’s deleted

1.Just to be clear some of the rumored names started popping up after I made a thread weeks ago with obvious top candidates hints. That was taken to other boards with the thread screenshot being put up on certain you tube shows. After that I just posted all of the likely candidates and was more vague.

2. I said on the CL show expect more Oregon coaches to come over , then posted that here. At that time only Mirabal was coming.

3. In this very thread I said I'm a small business owner that starts work at 3 am. So believe it or not I have a lot more going on than coaching spots or recruiting updates. All things considered I do ok. Maybe some people just expect a tad much from the last four years.
You seriously do not need to defend anything you have said. Vast majority respect your posts.

I'm not going to speak for others, but I expect clear answers. I don't prefer word-salad when answering questions or providing answers.

No one is making him or anyone else defend their answers. But he's responding to my post when I said "one guy has provided enough names not to be wrong and the other guy hasn't provided any names so that he can't be wrong". and that's exactly what has happened (i.e., the OP to this thread).

I get it, but the reason he left Mario in the first place was because he didn't get the DC job at Oregon when there was two opportunities. So unless he is not happy at Cal it would not make much sense to come be a position coach for Mario again.
Ehh, I wouldnt go that far.....yet. He isnt in a DC position now. Most position coaches switching jobs arent going to Coordinator positions. He's been coaching for 13 years. It doesnt seem like the coaching world is clamoring for him to be a DC. When you look at someone considering a lateral move, you have to look at what they value before deciding if it makes sense or not. There are many variables like money, cultural fit, how much does his family love Cal, does he really feel like he has a great unit to work with that he wants to see through next year, how do his philosophies jive with his DC, how much is he learning or have responsibility of with Wilcox and Sirmon running the defensive show, what does staying or going to Miami do to his future value/promotional prospects, where else is he interviewing (maybe he is a finalist for a G5 DC job!) Once I understand the pecking order of how he values all the variables, then Id be more inclined to say whether or not the move to Miami for a similar role would make sense or not.

Point is though, if he was named on our staff, Id be happy :)

Back on 12/12/21 Adam Schefter reported that Joe Brady will be staying in the NFL & has already heard from other teams...

In the actual report he wrote on ESPN, he said according to his sources, “It’s not impossible that he could come back to college, but it’s improbable”.

So, what I inferred from that was he prefers to stay as a NFL OC, but if he can’t get a job he might be open to coming back to college. It just boils down to what options he has.
Yep and it's also used for negotiations so there's that. Rad died and suddenly was awake , funny how that works lol. When that report was dropped half of me believed it and half was like this **** was in talks with um then he decides this suddenly? Imo a big college oc gig is better option at jump starting his career, you can't get lost in the nfl galaxy real fast after a bad stop . Next thing you know you're a washout . 2-3 good years at Miami you're back in a big way.

Cribby, will you name the OC that supposedly was hired by Miami?

Schefter has lost a ****load of credibility over the last year. Just saying.

Agree on all that except I don’t think Brady sees himself in college for more than one season and if he’s as good as he thinks he is, it’s a one year rental before the nfl comes calling again.

The nfl is a nasty business especially if you get a shot and fail on the first try. Even though he didnt have a lot to work with . Perception tends to be reality there.

We can also pretty much give him an NFL OC salary

I just wanted to know if it's Briles he was referring to as the Oc hire?
By the way, I do not think it's Briles.
He never emphatically stated anyone was hired as OC. Nothing but speculation from countless posters.
