You know what…maybeIs the Oc going to be Kendal Briles?
@SFbayCaneSomeone like Bert Watts at Auburn would fit nicely as a OLB/ST coach on this staff (former Fresno DC)
I don't think he leaves ArkansasYou know what…maybe
"One of names being mentioned" but also said don't be surprised if there is someone not even on radar. Apparently he was told to shut the F up by certain people. Since then he has been somewhat circumspect with his info. Now we hear Brady creeping back in and this process could resemble AD hire. He also said this weekend there will be some "leaking".Is one Kendal Briles?
Back on 12/12/21 Adam Schefter reported that Joe Brady will be staying in the NFL & has already heard from other teams...I think Brady is still in play. Just a guess
In that scenario I think you see Brady OC/WR with McClendon TE and Field off field. If Brady and Schuman:
Brady OC
McClendon WR
Coley- QB
Mirabal- OL
TE- Field
RB- Mastro
Schuman DC/LB
Salavea DL
TRob-CB
Monroe S
ST??
That wouldn’t work with the 10 assistant rule
When has McClendon coached TEs? Is it much different than WRs?In that scenario I think you see Brady OC/WR with McClendon TE and Field off field.
We can now match or even go a bit above a typical NFL OC salary. So money will not be an issue. He can come back to college and hone his craft and go back to NFL in 2-3 years more seasoned as a play caller.Back on 12/12/21 Adam Schefter reported that Joe Brady will be staying in the NFL & has already heard from other teams...
In the actual report he wrote on ESPN, he said according to his sources, “It’s not impossible that he could come back to college, but it’s improbable”.
So, what I inferred from that was he prefers to stay as a NFL OC, but if he can’t get a job he might be open to coming back to college. It just boils down to what options he has.
Is the Oc going to be Kendal Briles?
It will be close. I say 293 when the first hire is confirmed by the University.Do we get to 300 before staff is announced? Gonna be tight
Yes it’s different but I was under impression that he had coached another position besides WR before, could’ve been RB. That being said I don’t know how great of a TE coach Field is that there would be a huge drop off replacing him with McClendon. When has McClendon coached TEs? Is it much different than WRs?
They already hired the smith guy from Louisiana tech for stSomeone like Bert Watts at Auburn would fit nicely as a OLB/ST coach on this staff (former Fresno DC)
1.Just to be clear some of the rumored names started popping up after I made a thread weeks ago with obvious top candidates hints. That was taken to other boards with the thread screenshot being put up on certain you tube shows. After that I just posted all of the likely candidates and was more vague. One has given a whole bunch of names that it would be nearly impossible to be wrong and the other hasn't provided any names so that he can't be wrong. But hey. Whatever.
Dudes in this fanbase are doing their best to put Field off the Field, no pun intended. When has McClendon coached TEs? Is it much different than WRs?
RB and TEYes it’s different but I was under impression that he had coached another position besides WR before, could’ve been RB. That being said I don’t know how great of a TE coach Field is that there would be a huge drop off replacing him with McClendon.
