"So far, the only assistant Cristobal has hired at Miami is offensive line coach Alex Mirabal, who played with him at Miami Columbus High and has been an assistant with him for years..."

Anyone know what position Mirabal played at Columbus?
Is this a trick question? He’s a career offensive line coach, so, obviously, he was an offensive lineman. Probably a guard.

Anyone have thoughts on Anthony Campanile? Dolphins LB coach.

Michigan - LB coach
BC - Co DC / DBs
And several roles at Rutgers.

I remember his name getting thrown in the mix for some DC roles after his one season with Michigan.
Boston College and Rutgers offered him a DC job. The guy you want from the Dolphins is Gerald Alexander. He was Cal DB coach for 3 years and developed one of their better secondaries in recent memory. He also put 2 DBs in the NFL in Ashtyn Davis and Jaylin Hawkins. At Miami he's turning Jevon Holland into one of the best Safeties in football as a Rookie and has developed Nik Needham and Brandon Jones into really solid players, he's about a year or two away from becoming a NFL DC

LT actually. Only started one year though. There's apparently a memorial plaque at Columbus of the 5 QBs that got killed that season. The two paraplegic QBs that lived were at its unveiling.

Tosh Lupoi sounds like a Polynesian name, but it’s not, he’s a like Italian or some sh*t.

Just based on that alone, do not want! Lol (just kidding relax)

I’m not, I actually don’t care who the DC is, as long as it’s not Muschamp (lol) or DeRutyer (which its not thank God).

To me, any DC not named Manuela Diaz will be an upgrade.

The OC hire is way more important IMO.

Dominant Defenses don’t exist anymore, even the Elite UGA Defense that everybody drooled over all year got yanked all over the field by Bill O’Brien & Bama’s Offense for 536 yards & that wasn’t even peak Bama offense.

Even Michigans stout Defense got ran over by Mich St & gave up 431 yards vs a bum *** Nebraska team.

Oh yeah?

lol Two for flinching!!

my question is what mario coaches has brought from Oregon are top coaches that money can buy???
He is putting together a STAFF .. that works TOGETHER ... getting talented coordinators ... elite x's and o's guys to head up both offense and defense .. then putting talented, accomplished recruiters who are also good talent developers under them .. but guys HE knows and has a history with .. so they hit the ground running with everybody on the same page. Efficiency and execution.

Which is wild because he's never gone that far with the Pass/Run. He may be run heavy but it'll be more of a 60-40/55-45 Run vs Pass split like he always has.

Why would a Cane Fan want a guy at DC who is on trajectory to become an NFL DC within the next 24 months? Also, it appears that TRob and Chance will be coaching DBs, we don't need a third DB coach. Companies actually sounds like an interesting name, given his prep and college background plus the fact that he comes from a family of very successful coaches.
