Of all the dumpster fires that are SEC towns, Athens is actually a pretty nice place to live. A couple years back the state of GA got in the 21st century and started allowing breweries to sell pints on premises (what a concept). They've got some great beer. Terrapin in particular.

And all the people there hate the gators so that's a good start to a relationship.

Another point. Some coaches may be personally tied to an area. It was a bit of a surprise Mario was able to bring over DL Joe A., given he’s been a West Coast guy since childhood. Even those in ‘dumpster fire’ $EC towns may have ties to the South, and at $EC salaries can live very, very well.

Absolutely not. Loyalty, honor, and being true to your word should still mean something. It's not like TVD is in a bad situation, being denied playing time, being mistreated, is having his career stifled, etc. He has a clear path to the pros and riches right here at the program that gave him the opportunity in the first place. ******** his team over for a little extra money up front would be a low move.

Yes. Would have loved to have had him, but he was offered an opportunity he can't pass up. Amazing that he's getting his first OC job on an NFL team with a potent offense and top QB, yet some here felt he wasn't qualified to be our OC.
