I split time in my head trying to decide if I'm a Phins fan or a Niners fan. Don't care enough about the NFL tbh - i could never get into it enough. I grew up around the 49ers with a family member playing for them and then Aubrayo Franklin and his family was my neighbor and one of my brother's best friends and they still live by my dad. He flew me out there several times when I was in junior high/high school.

Definitely hard to claim the phins lately though
Oh ****. Nice. I can imagine that would have been cool as a high schooler

Only 2 franchises I thought were run worse than the Phins were the Bengals and Jets for many years.

Campanile is far from a bad consolation prize - he has about the same level of experience as Mike Macdonald when Michigan hired him.

It'd be ****** awesome if we used some of the Fins' Blitz packages to confuse QBs.
That’s why I was excited about the potential of moving to 3-4. I love the blitz packages Fins ran last year with confusing QB’s

Lol I can't with this stuff. Seems like Miami is the only school being so kind and generous and allowing everyone to tidy up before taking the job.

You can get fish and chips for $30 and a $12 Guiness at his pub at Caesars. Who the **** spends $30 on fish and chips?

Yep. That's the only one and I'm surprised he's not fired yet.

Doesn't Spavital claim to be a disciple of Sumlin and Dykes influence more than Holgorsen? Maybe I'm wrong
He got his first job from the infamous Todd Graham, but then was with Sumlin in Houston & briefly with Mike Gundy at OK ST.

He coached with Holgorsen at Houston on Sumlin’s staff & Holgorsen had hired as QB’s coach when he first got the job at West VA, then he went back with Sumlin to TAMU, then was with Sonny Dykes at Cal & then came back to West VA to Holgorsen’s OC for 2 years before he got the Texas ST job.

So he’s basically a Sumlin/Holgorsen disciple by way of the illustrious vast Todd Graham Tree lol.

I very much disagree. I liked the first 2 seasons and after that it just gets the point of absolute disbelief.
Agreed. Once the show departed from the books it became more about production value and rather typical Hollywood “action” instead of the interesting story lines and character development that George Martin created.

I was talking about Ozark which has the feel of a show that had a good idea and story and then once it was popular they had to find ways to keep it going and that is where it took a turn.

Dexter (although absurd to begin with) felt the same. They had to keep coming up with new things and continuing it for so long that it became more and more ridiculous.

From Ferman on the DC.

I am hearing that Houston continues to up the ante to try to keep Doug Belk from going to Miami. It ultimately will be a question of where he wants to be in my opinion.

Clint Hurtt is officially out. Look for him to be named the DC of the Seattle Seahawks today.

If Belk takes himself out of the running, the next guy up would probably be Anthony Campanile from the Dolphins but the holdup there is that Brian Flores might want him as his defensive coordinator wherever he lands and the Dolphins are also intent on keeping their defensive staff together.

If Brian Daboll gets the Dolphins job or the Giants job, I am hearing he wants Josh Boyer, the current Dolphins DC as his DC.

So if Daboll goes to the fins, that would leave Campanile for Mario to offer if he chooses.
Fins said they wanna keep the entire d staff together regardless of coaching hire

If I had all that personal exposure to the Niners when I was a kid my house would probably be painted in their colors.

Inside AND outside.

An AAC school which took Holgorsen from a Big 12 powerhouse. Holgorsen makes close to $5 million. They can easily pay Belk in the neighborhood of $1.5 million if they want.
You’re not using context of the situation. Holgerson and WVU wasn’t on good terms, they wouldn’t budge for his demands with an extension. Thats because their was some folks there that wasn’t happy with him. He was also losing a really good qb. So the next year wouldn’t look positive. That likely being his last year. Mix all that up vs security , a new fresh start , and looking like a hero leaving a bigger school to come back to Houston. It was a lot more than I’m leaving Wvu for Houston. Wvu could’ve kept him if they wanted. They wouldn‘t extend for a reason.

I can't believe you kept reading after "Big-12 powerhouse."
