Would not be surprised if some OC candidates like Brady have Mario on hold to see if they get NFL jobs first. After getting fired I imagine Brady is not guaranteed an NFL OC job and he could come back around to being OC at Miami. An OC like Dorsey is all but guaranteed an NFL OC position.

Also, HC's who are also OC candidates at a higher level like Candle, Littrell and others may be holding off for NSD so they don't ***** over their current programs. That can also play a factor with negotiated buy-outs if schools are willing to negotiate better buy-outs in exchange for staying until after NSD.
Well, they would get interviews by now, especially Dorsey.

If this is true, which I highly doubt it is, then I'm a bit disappointed.

Saban wasn't all nice and kind when he came and took TRob from us a few days before our biggest recruiting weekend in a long time and right before signing day. The big boy, blue blood programs that have been running CFB for the last 15 years don't wait until after signing day to make hires. They go and take what they want when they want.

I'm all for professionalism, but not when your professionalism benefits another team and hurts your own program.
To your first point, no, you are correct, this isn't Satan!! We don't want him here!
To your second,..his patience,....not even, if short term risk, is very minimal, in view of long term success?

Each of us are thinking in the "right ****** now" mindset,..maybe he's thinking of the next few years! As I say,..I don't know ****,..just seems it could be (very) logical!

SIAP but something to consider is that McClendon has already been named Co-OC (not the playcaller.) McClendon is a pretty big dog in coaching circles, so I'd imagine he'd have to approve of whomever he's gonna be working with as the primary playcaller. That's one of the reasons don't think Ponce or some of the other Plan B guys we've talked about are actually in play at all.
Oh yeah .. I am sure that Mario is going to bring in a guy for interviews, get fired up about hiring him, and ASKING BMac for his approval. Are you serious.

Do you really think that Mario, an alpha, would accept OCs saying I may have a better job lined up. Please stand by. I don’t.

Lol. B-Mac gets to approve ****e. You don't get to pick your boss. Now I know Mario discusses new hires with the squad, because he values their opinions, but B-Mac serves at the pleasure of the HC. This is not a republic. We have a king.

I think the DC hire is way more important right now. Other than one guy, I believe all the visitors this weekend are defensive players, with Shemar being the biggest. I am 100% behind the Mario and still think he will do great things here, but if we don't have a DC hire after 7 weeks on the job with NSD coming up, it is an issue, particularly if it ends up being someone mentioned for weeks here. If a guy is wavering on different jobs, you have to give him a deadline and move on. If a guy is that hesitant to take the job, he is probably going to bounce first chance like TRob did last week.

You mean you think the DC hire is more urgent, right?
