Please see my earlier post about the fantastic lamb jalfrezi I had for my version of the same story.Thats video of me running to the bathroom at 5am after Indian food. #89
It is not that Ponce is okay. It is because they have battered wives syndrome they think it will be himDo we as fans have such a bad case of battered wife syndrome that we’re trying to rationalize that hiring Ponce as our OC is okay????
Maybe I missed it but what insider has been consistently bringing up Ponce name?? I only see random posters consistently guess it’s going to be him due to our history. Maybe it does end up being Ponce but the only thing that’s been consistent about this is that no names come up. When Candle came up almost NO one had mentioned him.throughout this process candidates names were brought up and eventually removed; however, ponce has been the consistent name through this whole process.
Idk unless he wants a college hc job I doubt he leaves he won’t get another nfl shot within a year imo. I think we would get him for 2 years if he is looking for nfl againJoe Brady implemented to the Sean Payton passing offense for LSU when they had their historic Natty title run with Burrow & the WR’s... It’s the same offense that Joe Lombardi runs in LA with the Chargers.
People only liked to give Steve Ensminger credit to discredit Brady, but Ensminger at 61 years old had never had an offense even 1/16th as potent as the 2019 LSU team, he was literally the OC in 2018 too & LSU was pedestrian.
Joe Brady didn’t work in Carolina IMO because Matt Rhule is a fraud of the highest order & made Brady the fall guy for his failure as a HC.
The big knock on Joe Brady is that he hates recruiting & really wants to be in the NFL, so he’s a guy that’s not going to stick around for too long, but honestly I don’t care. With TVD & the weapons we have Joe Brady would be a slam dunk hire even if for just one season.
As long as he’s allowed to run the offense the way he wants, we would carve up the ACC without question.
Just give him whatever he wants for a 1 year rental & lets get this show the road.
His name hasn't been brought up aside from folks with zero sources trying to connect dotsthroughout this process candidates names were brought up and eventually removed; however, ponce has been the consistent name through this whole process.
Exactly this. If we go with Ponce, Mario would be smart to pay him a lot less than someone like Candle/Briles and use that extra dough on position coaches who recruit at an elite level. If Ponce is the answer and we were paying $1.7m then pay Ponce $1m and bring Coley back as QB coach or TE coach.
If he meets certain incentive marks. If it's Ponce he better not make more than $41,658
