The Brady ship has sailed so that leaves us with what exactly? Briles? Dorsey? Is there anyone else who is being strongly considered?

On the DC front I have heard only one name being considered. Glenn Schumann that's it. Is there no one else being considered for the UM DC job? Yes I'm bring a smart *** but seriously does anyone know any names besides Schumann that have been floated for the DC position? Anybody? Beuller?

Somebody talk to me for crying out loud! What's the game plan here? Someone must know something. Hit me up with a direct message if you want. Just spill it!

Clint Hurtt for DC is a name that's been brought up a lot

That's fine and I have no problem with you brain storming for names and options. I'm sitting here doing the same. I just don't like Pep Hamilton for our OC job. He just isn't right for it.

I disagree with your assessment that there are no high level OC candidates out there. There are plenty. @Liberty City El has a post that he put out a few days ago. Go check it out. Lots of great options on that list. I would take Matt Mumme in a second! I would consider that a very bold and forward thinking hire. There are more names on his list that I love as well.

I get your feelings about Briles but I think that he would be an excellent hire for a myriad of reasons. We can always agree to disagree though. It's all good. We're all on the same side here.

There are a couple of good B+ hires like I mentioned with Briles and Grimes but what I was saying is there really aren't no A+ grand slam type of options at OC. Briles Would probably be the best out of the most realistic choices and im not sure he's an elite OC

I don't think he would come for DL, maybe CO-DC we're another coach is calling plays? Hurt is qualified to be a DC though. He was a great Recruiter in college and has spent the last 5 year's being groomed and learning under Pete Carroll and Ken Norton.

That's not being fired... A New HC always comes in and brings his own guy's in the NFL. Dude is not getting fired after literally being the QB coach for the NFL rookie of the year. Regardless I only brought it up because Herbert is a big fan of Pep, just thought it's possible Herbert could mention Pep to Mario

At first I was dead set against Hurtt but after looking at what he has been doing up in Seattle, my stance on him has softened considerably. The more I think about it the more I realize that it could be a very good hire. Hurtt most definitely isn't the **** pick but he could be very good here. We'll see.

Not sure how many of these are accurate but 247 gives him credit for a lot of recruitments while he was here

Pep certainly did a great job with Herbert as a QB coach! I just don't want Pep getting the keys to this offense because this baby's a Lamborghini and he would wrap it around a tree in no time.

Regarding Hurtt the fact that he can recruit is great but that is something I'm not even thinking about or really considering to be honest. That's because we are going to have plenty of ace recruiters on this staff including the head coach himself. I want both of my coordinators to be brilliant X's and O's coaches.
