When he was in Carolina, he was under Mike Shula for 5 years & now in Buffalo he’s under Brian Daboll.

Miami would not make it public. LoL, what would be the point to announce at AA if it was public?
That’s not what I’m saying. I get that. I’m saying I thought his original plan was to sign today and keep it under wraps, but I think he is either signing Friday and keeping it under wraps or not signing and just enrolling early after announcing at the AA game.

Who knows if he signs?

I will be on board with whoever Mario is going to choose and will not question his hires until the result on field gives me reason to. And we won't see the result for a while.
He was hired to succeed in all aspects of the game and if we are excited to have him we should give him the benefit of the doubt.

I don't have any idea at this point what offense Daboll is calling. Who the **** thinks they can go an entire half in the NFL without handing the ball to a running back and succeed?

Maybe we would see something like the offense Dabol ran with Hurts at Alabama? Regardless Dorsey strikes me as a NFL guy, Dabol is likely getting a HC job and Dorsey will either follow him and be his OC or replace him and be Buffalo OC.

Expecting some moves to start being made in the next 12-14 days tbh…some of the assistant coaches ay least. No reason not to have half this staff finalized shortly after the New Year.

In the end, however, Mario knows what he’s doing; we just gotta truss.

I wonder why Mario is putting it off. Other coaches who have been hired have almost their entire staffs filled.
I don’t think he’s putting it off, just that ESD was the main focal point. Now, it should be on the staff. Only T-Rob and Mirabal are truly locked in. I certainly take Cribby’s word on BMac, but the rumblings out of Eugene could sway him - and Cribby did say nothing is finalized til the ink hits the paper.

It's pretty strange how it's come out that there was mutual interest between us and Briles/Brady for the OC job, but nothing on news sites about the DC.

Could possibly mean we have our guy, and he's coaching in the playoffs.

I think it's pretty obvious that at least one of our coordinators will be coaching in the CFP or one of the major bowls and a few of our assistants will come over after Oregon loses their bowl game.
