The class is already a good one. But Miami fans are who they are.....and frankly, not used to having a head coach with his head out of his ***.

People need to relax and know we're in good hands.
 
I want Grace bad. Easily the most underrated recruit. Hard to believe he didnt pick up a 4th star after that all star game performance.

You guys saying "Miami's class is already a good one" are in the desert, thirsty as ****, about to drink the sand. We can call things as they are. If we miss on a player of Matthew Thomas' caliber, who happens to be in our backyard, it stings.

I don't like kool-aid.

All this scuffling about Matthew Thomas prematurely needs to stop, if we get him on NSD great. If not, rough loss. Until then, relax because crying about it isn't going to solve anything. We still have a chance with these players to sign no matter what until their LOI is sent elsewhere.

17, the poor kid's flailing a little right now. I'm trying to throw him a life preserver. I'm the kind uncle looking to wrap an arm around his shoulder, cook him a bowl of pasta, and guide him down the right path.

Pete seems like a nice young man, who does a really good job with his articles. Problem is that I think he's making the common message board mistake of trying to be a soothsayer or guru on recruiting when he really doesn't know what the kids are going to do. You and I are grizzled vets in these recruiting wars. Pete's just a pup. He got a little full of himself when dudes kept proppping him up as some sort of visionary. 17, you know what eventually happens when guys build gurus up too much and they start sipping their own bath water. They're setting them up for a big fall where they can start stabbing them to death because of the Thomas 90% thing and the "I was hinting at that" f#ckery.

Pete needs to take a knee, shake the cobwebs out a little, and quit trying to make predictions. Predictions are the death of all these dudes because none of them know what these kids will do. They guess right a couple times, and the adulation gets good to them. Then, when they spit out a few clunkers in a row, they wind up with a pteradactyl egg on their face.

Where did we stand with Tracy Howard last year with a week left? Everyone thought he was ufag bound.

And, I'll add that it's ok to say this on the board. As much as Pete is revered here, he's still growing. Some people have been deeply following recruiting since Pete was 3 years old. This website was created to be a "by the community, for the community" site, and I think it's sensical to lend Pete a helping hand. I've stayed completely off the board with this stuff up to now and I don't think this thread should be about "Pete suggestions," but I'm simply saying it is OK to challenge people on this message board. Because it's a bigger concern to me that now people are going to think they can't say certain things.

After all, this site was ******* created as an answer to that very problem (as seen on CaneSport and CanesTime).

Will discuss the rest of this topic off the public board. Let's keep this **** together, please.

Alright not really but it sounds nice and dramatic. In reality, there will be disappointment and venomous, bitter feelings toward the guy who couldn't stop repping 305 but wants to gtfo. And that's how it should be. Not acceptable, not a member of the family, get to steppin if you're out.
