Any changes coming at all?

Or do we just roll with the exact same staff into next season and hope NIL $ can fix it?

I predict no changes to the staff, and critical player losses.
IMO assuming Gage and Rafe are gone we have only 2/3 players that I would consider critical losses. We have others that I wouldn’t mind keeping but they are definitely replaceable.

JD and the staff all come back but I expect major roster turnover especially on the pitching side.

The actual staff itself is good. JD is the killer. Just look at how many pitching decisions cost us games. If we wanted an under the radar hire then we should’ve hired Urso’s dad. At least he’s a program builder.

JD's a good guy but we need a much better head coach. I'm still shocked that our pitching coach was on his way out due to performance and then got a promotion.
I am not surprised at all... Miami-ing...

Gambino would have been a dynamite hire. Especially with the resources here and talent available in the tri- county area.

I may be in the minority here, but I still don’t think we have a “coaching” problem per se. Like, I don’t think our problem lies in strategy, in-game decisions, practice habits, etc. We just don’t know how to bring in enough elite players.

I forget the thread, but someone posted a bunch of recruits from all over the country, and that was actually quite encouraging. If we show that we can find players from anywhere and quit bringing in the Miami Herald All County First Team every year, we might have a shot.

All that talent needs to be developed.
