So we are not recruiting this kid @QB? smh

I really like Treon and think he can be a solid mid major QB in a legit spread offense, but here (and at FSU), he's extremely limited by what those offenses do. No idea what his QB IQ really is because they're running a fairly simple offense, but he has very nice touch and a lot of playmaking ability.

That said, he's a special athlete and is going to be a really good WR or DB at FSU.

After looking at these highlights again, the progress he's made from junior year is ridiculous. Every time he drops back he's scanning the entire field and keeping his feet moving. If you look back at his Junior tape, specifically the game against Central, there's plenty of times where he panics in the pocket and just launches one up for grabs.

I was high on Harris following the Northwestern game last year, but his performance against Central worried me. The deciding factor for me will be September 6th, if Treon can step up that night and have a night like he did in Norcross, I have no issues with taking him as a QB in college.

However, I still don't see how anyone can say Rosier is better then this guy, Rosier does not have the accuracy, pocket presence or mobility like Harris.

WTF are you talking about, Rosier runs 4.62 and has a cannon for arm. He also has 3 inches on Treon.

Disagree big-time on this. Having seen both in person, Rosier is nowhere near his listed 6-2. Much closer to 5-11/6-feet, which is Harris' legit height as well. Harris can also hold more weight

The biggest differentiation is the arm. I think Rosier is slightly taller but not sure. I think he is more mobile than he gets credit for but likely not as overall as athletic as Treon. But again, from what I've seen of Rosier and Harris, Rosier has three times the arm. Like it or not, that dude can sling it and make all the throws.

I'm not disagreeing in arm strength at all; Rosier has a cannon compared to Harris but he isn't consistently accurate and like stated above, isn't even close athletically.

Another Jeffrey Godfrey thread, just 3-4 years later and his new name is Treon Harris.

We are taking 3 qb's. We can't miss on all 3. Right? Honestly, I think we could find a winner with any 3 of the 5 quarterback combos here.

Kaaya, Rosier, Edouard, Flowers, Harris.

What happens when Treon doesn't win the QB job here? The **** storm it will create is not worth it! Just remember Derrick Crudup and miultiply it by 1000!

Yeah. And remember the "implied" **** storm that we would've had during Randall's tenure if Jacory didn't "win" the job? This one would rank right up there with that one.

Anyone remember Luke freaking out when Ryan Collins was in a QB battle during his senior year? SMH....

Color me not impressed at all, and I'll be the first to call a spade a spade on a missed evaluation. First, his first instinct on 80% of the snaps is to tuck and run. He has good touch on his throws but Booker T's offense is VERY similar looking to the one Jacory ran at MNW. A lot of quick, short throws, and even then, the ball tended to flutter.

I thought those passes were floating something serious out there. combine that with him probably having to throw high to get over our huge O-Line, i just don't see it at QB for us. all aboard with Kaaya

Please stop it. You taking a single performance he had on a national stage and hyping it up. He's very run first happy and there isn't much precision in his passes. Not to mention his height issue. I'll take Kaaya

I don't think anyone's talking about taking him over Kaaya. We're talking about taking him over Edwards or Rosier.

I'm with it and have been with it so long as he's open to change positions after a "legit" shot. He may be able to play QB in college and even put up numbers, but so could Denard Robinson. If you're asking "why wouldn't you want a player that exciting at QB" it's because I rather win important football games. I have a hard time understanding why some of these kids are dead-set on playing QB, yet have an end-goal of playing the NFL. I don't believe Harris' big $ position is QB. That usually means he can give his college team (so long as we're not talking about DII or a "lesser" school) more of an impact at another position.

The more it's discussed, the more I see a problem over two different definitions - one from the staff, one from Harris and his family - of "legit" shot at QB. Is the risk of that kind of a fallout worth whatever upside there is in a slash QB who's likely to move to another position? That's pretty much what this comes down to and why I think Golden/staff have handled this with a straightforward attempt about what they view him as in terms of position.

I mentioned that exact issue of "legit shot" in response to one of Pete's posts about Treon a couple days ago. One man's definition of "legit shot" could be vastly divergent from another's and lead to another Ice meltdown. If this dude was Treon Washington I think we would have already offered. Could be that The Don sees the potential risk (Ice Meltdown) bigger than the reward.

You're analyzing him as a QB. The smart play is to project him at the postion he'll actually play at a major D1 school and then see if he's more valuable that Edwards or Rosier.

Treon sees your 4.62 and post his 4.4 40 legit laser time.
Rosier may have Treon by an inch thats it...kid isnt over 6'0

Their DC should be fired after that game. Who just plays 'man' all day against Booker T? SMH
