Didn't shannon bring in 5 qbs one year? You have to make sure you have the right qb is all I'm saying..

I think this might come back to bite us in the ***...

Dude is a **** of a spread QB, honestly if I were him I'd try to shop myself to teams that play the shotgun spread and there are a lot of them out there.

Should Miami take him at QB? I'm torn, honestly. I would consider it. Besides being the hometown team, though, we're probably not the best fit for his style. That said, FSU is a terrible choice for him.

I agree with the poster who said West Virginia. I know FSU is better than West Virginia as a program, etc etc, but it's about the kind of offense they run. Maybe Clemson too.

Also, there's a lot to like about Treon Harris. He's accurate, he's athletic, he's a leader, he's cool under pressure. A lot of good traits. I just don't know if he's a pro style QB. I am convinced he can play D1 in the right system though.

I don't think he has the arm strength to excel at this level. He is also thinking very short term because even if he becomes a decent player, he still isn't making to the league as a QB. Shouldn't that be the ultimate goal? Rather be a top shelf CB in the league rather than the next Senaca Wallace or Denard Robinson.

Is he another of Ice Harris' sons if so he probably wasn't coming to play for Golden. His receivers were making great plays on getting open in the tape, he made 2 or 3 nice throws but most were dink throws with receivers getting YAC He also was lucky as he tried to force 2 passes into endzone andwas lucky they weren't picked off. He is good but for our system Brad Kaya looks better.

* Booker T's offense looks a lot like Dennis Errickson's offense when he was at UM.

* I dont see Treon Harris playing QB at the BCS level. If he wants to play QB exclusively, he'd be best at someplace like a Memphis State or Southern Miss. Or maybe a UCF.

* Brad Kaaya's high school film looks strikingly similar to Kyle Wright's.

I'm gonna get some **** for this but I actually like Kaaya's film better than Olsen's. Not sure Olsen will ever start here with this kid only one year behind him.

After watching kaaya's highlights he reminded me a lot of kirby freeman.

Sold on the kid, not as a pro style QB. I think this is a mutual best interest thing to move in different directions. This is a football player I'd take at any position other than QB and O line so I hope he softens his stance. He'd be the best CB in this class by a landslide IMO, but I understand his heart being set on QB because he is the anchor of the number 1 team in the country.

I have no animousity on this one. I wish Treon all the best and the City of Miami is proud of him wherever he goes.

So guysm, what are y'alls salaries for all this consulting you do for the University at Miami. No wonder we've sucked recently.

Please stop it. You taking a single performance he had on a national stage and hyping it up. He's very run first happy and there isn't much precision in his passes. Not to mention his height issue. I'll take Kaaya

Good points. In right system kid is gold, but pro style is not the one. Would love to have him in right position, but would not lie to him like Jimbo is. The lcoal storms of last year have calmed down but if Treon wants to play qb and is asked to switch I can hear the Selio chorus starting up again. FSU got buried dwon here when Al stole Coley as OC, so they have nothing to lose right now. Best of luck to him, except against us of course.

If you cant tell this kids not a QB than you trippin. His money is at another position, if he went to a low conference like the big east at qb he would do damage. Just look at the way he throws lol, he has elite talent around him thats why he looks good, kid is smart though and has wheels. Just upset on why the staff cant lie to him like every other program.

After looking at these highlights again, the progress he's made from junior year is ridiculous. Every time he drops back he's scanning the entire field and keeping his feet moving. If you look back at his Junior tape, specifically the game against Central, there's plenty of times where he panics in the pocket and just launches one up for grabs.

I was high on Harris following the Northwestern game last year, but his performance against Central worried me. The deciding factor for me will be September 6th, if Treon can step up that night and have a night like he did in Norcross, I have no issues with taking him as a QB in college.

However, I still don't see how anyone can say Rosier is better then this guy, Rosier does not have the accuracy, pocket presence or mobility like Harris.

Have you seen Rosier this year? If not, how can you say that Harris is the better guy? You talked about the improvements Harris has made since his junior year. Wouldn't it be fair to actually see Rosier play a game in his senior year before making that statement?

I don't think anyone's talking about taking him over Kaaya. We're talking about taking him over Edwards or Rosier.

I'm with it and have been with it so long as he's open to change positions after a "legit" shot. He may be able to play QB in college and even put up numbers, but so could Denard Robinson. If you're asking "why wouldn't you want a player that exciting at QB" it's because I rather win important football games. I have a hard time understanding why some of these kids are dead-set on playing QB, yet have an end-goal of playing the NFL. I don't believe Harris' big $ position is QB. That usually means he can give his college team (so long as we're not talking about DII or a "lesser" school) more of an impact at another position.

The more it's discussed, the more I see a problem over two different definitions - one from the staff, one from Harris and his family - of "legit" shot at QB. Is the risk of that kind of a fallout worth whatever upside there is in a slash QB who's likely to move to another position? That's pretty much what this comes down to and why I think Golden/staff have handled this with a straightforward attempt about what they view him as in terms of position.
