So lets rate richt?

How did y'all expect us to close when we got beat by Washigton St. Murdered by Clemson, beat by FSU. Inc took us to the woodshed. **** Cincy best us. What did y'all expect? To finish with a top 5 class? Wasn't going to happen. It's not going to happen if we don't win. We do have the staff which is a major upgrade so let's see how we close 2017 before we judge a Cody who had 3 weeks to recruit

He did fine. Ill give him a sold B. Keep in mind he also had to recruit a entirely new staff.

His presser just ended.

Richt definitely looks exhausted and maybe not so stoked with the result...but all he keeps specifying is that he wanted a few more wide outs...lol, definitely an offensive coach.

Very steady though looking forward to '17. Also reiterated how he wanted to get the right coaches for the long haul, not just for quicker recruiting gratification, and that it likely shortened some of the time left.

Liked how he ended it bringing up the early enrollees to introduce them to the media and make them available for questions, and then having the coaching staff stand up for the same thing.

UM

Rating him on a transitional recruiting class seems idiotic.
It really isn't. He's not receiving a transitional paycheck. The class is a solid B. The only additions to be excited about that weren't legacies are Finley and maybe Haskins and Martin. Our biggest needs were interior DL, OL, and CB and they were not adequately addressed.

he will get paid based on how his team plays not recruting. he can land top 5 classes every year but if he goes 6-7 he will be fired. he can get a 45th ranked class year in year out and if he wins 10 games he will keep his job. its simple coaches recruit to win but recruting is just part of process. golden landed top 15 classed year in year out but didn't win he is gone period.

yes his paycheck isn't transitional but he is being paid to coach a team not just recruit. he hasn't had that shot at miami yet and at georgia avg 10 wins per year. if he wins 10 games a yr at miami he will get top 5 classes and win a national title period. this class was a 1 month class basicly and sorry mcloud and richard decommited and bruce was looking hard around keeping those 3 was huge.

to act like those don't count is ridiculous. yes bethel , irvin and james were comign to miami no doubt, but he kept pickney, mccloud, quartermane, he kept bruce, got richards to choose miami over bama and if miami had hired a diffrent coach or kept golden make no mistake bruce is at osu or scar and richards is at bama right now, mcloud would of gone to georgia or another school not miami.

golden lost alot of players at last couple weeks last year , richt did a solid job keeping guys commited like mcloud and bruce and landing some nice players in finely, martin, johnson, guys with huge upside ant may be 3 stars but were recruited by power 5 schoosl not just temple.

How can you give him a rating based on have NO time to develop a plan at UM. His recruiting grade should come after this calendar year of football and building UM relationships with kids and coaches. He had one of the best days of all coaches who are now coaching at a new school.

Give the guy a year.

so 10 of the 18 commits are ESPN300 guys and people are *****ing? would rather have what we got then to fill it with guys that aren't worthy.

If Golden were here we would have been worried about every recruit on our board. Don't forget how miserable the last few years have been. People were taking our guys left and right. Times are changing and it won't happen overnight. It is imperative that we win the Coastal this season.

Tyler Byrd crootin left a lot to be desired. His best friend is a highly rated running back. Richt should have said I don't know why the previous staff didn't offer you, and offer/recruit him. It is awkward to recruit the one and not the other when they live together. Miami had plenty of room and even if he was solid with Tennessee it was the smart move. When Byrd rated his Miami OV an 8 I think we all knew a flip was coming.

I rate Richt and staff a C.

I give him an A-.. Losing Tyrd sucks but he pulled 4 espn300 recruits in a couple of weeks.. Overall it's an amazing class but just a bit small

Who did he add to this class?

You absolutely have to include Richards, Finley, mccloud, bethel in there, not sure any of them would have stayed if golden was here... Bruce for sure wouldn't have stayed either if golden was here IMO

Sorry it doesn't work like that. He closed poorly, as expected given our lack of bagmen and crap record.

Mods ban this troll... Just joined... Please post his IP and the email he signed up with.

Go F yourself troll while the board Fs your mom and leaves her on the side of the road like trash for bringing in trash like you for the rest of us to deal with.

FN clueless.

Excuse me if I'm a little off

Harbaugh's first class at Michigan was ranked 40th. This year (2nd year) they were 5th/6th overall.

Richt got back decommits, held onto shaky guys, and brought it new ones. Leading us to around the 19th spot in the rankings. It has been said before in another thread, Richt is a proven recruiter and IMO absolutely killed it in the short time he had. Next year's class is going to be insane.
