Small bit info on the Heritage kids in the Miami Herald 12-7

Hate to break it to you, if we don’t sign Campbell or Surtain and lose Jobe, it ain’t gonna be a top 5 class.

Lol we're still crying about dbs? There is no earthly reason to bytch about losing these 5 stars, not with dbs in Florida. Not a dimes worth of difference between the 5 stars and 3-4 stars here. The only concern is that we get those 3-4 stars instead of actual reaches (golden specials from Delaware for example).

Chatfield, silvera, Carson, Thompson, Rousseau, Collins, meadows are the REAL group of kids we need. I'd give up jobe, surtain, and Campbell in a microsecond to get the dl/ol haul.

Yup. Bama is definitely going to jump us unless we land both of those guys. UGA probably will too. Not sure if another school can, but a top-5 class without one of Tyson/Surtain will be hard to hang on to.

Regardless, I am absolutely thrilled with the class as long as we get Tyson. If not, still a strong class but could have been better.

This was at the tail end on todays Miami Herald regarding their playoff game: THIS AND THAT: A Heritage has five of the top 155 seniors in the nation. Baker County has no players in the ESPN 300. Four of Heritage’s stars are on defense: cornerback Patrick Surtain Jr. (ranked sixth); cornerback Tyson Campbell (11th); defensive tackle Nesta Silvera (95th); and defensive end Andrew Chatfield (155th). A Jones, who is not rated in the top 300, said Surtain Jr. “is liking Alabama more and more,” with LSU second. Jones said Silvera is solid to Miami, but Campbell, he said, wears a Georgia backpack to school and is likely to become a Bulldog. Chatfield, Jones said, likes Miami.

we are desperate to have first rounders at DB this is the U we want elite athletes period, we saw one time in our lives a miami team with elite dbs. SEC schools (through there run) have different animals at DT and there dbs, I want us to land guys that are home grown savages no excuses. We have to close period, then we wonder why someone getting burnt vs Clemson or why wasnt that guy tackled when he caught it, gotta get those upper tier defensive backs. Give me Tyson Campbell and Im ok, but a loss to bama ****es me off to no end I fuqin hate that school. Wish Saban left that fuq

Considering Coley's about to go to A&M, I'm not really worried about Campbell anymore. Miami's always been the consistent presence.

Chatfield, that kid has to be all Cane at this point.

Surtain Jr., that's interesting there. Who knows at this point?
