A&M is known to be paying millions to kids this class in NIL deals
Mario only gets 1 1/2 months to secure him
Miami sucked this year on the field

I would say yes this is the biggest signing Miami has ever gotten.

DJ Ace was McFarland and that was my favorite in that class. He was probably the best player in that cycle if he came.

I would say that it’s in the conversation for sure. For me though, I’ll never forget the day that DJ Williams announced he was coming to Miami from Cali. Total shocker at the time IMO when most thought he was USC bound.

This is a good one. #1 player in the country that everyone wanted and Butch was able to pull him all the way from Cali. Kyle Wright was another big one at the time.

It’s only “second and third tier” football until more 1st tier players go there. Have to start somewhere.

It will take at least 20 years to raise the level of players coaching and facilities. Not saying it’s a bad place for kids but not good for those with nfl aspirations.

I am just gonna put this theory out:

Mario is going even harder on the trail now because he is coaching the Miami Hurricanes. He was already into it at Oregon but now, he went into ridiculous maximum overdrive.

Change my mind.

He can also spend more time in person because he doesn’t have to hop on an airplane traveling to different states. For Miami most of the recruits will be just a car ride.

DJ would be #1 IMO because he was on the West Coast and Miami hadn’t broken through yet. Wright was WC too, but Miami was a dominant program known for QBs. Gino and Kenny were from the Bay Area.

Shemar would be high on the list but he is local. James Williams and Leonard Taylor were 5* locals, could have gone bags, and stayed home. And Manny pulled them.
